Biography

Laurent Maurel grew up in Tahiti, Morocco, Djibouti, and Reunion Island. He trained as an actor in France at The National Drama School of E.N.S.A.T.T (Paris), and in London at MiddleSex University (BA Acting). For Cinema, he is one of the main characters in the feature "The Well" representing Algeria at The Oscars 2017, he was nominated as "Best Newcomer Actor" at the Moulins French Festival in 2012 for "La Dernière Caravane". In Television, he will appear in the next season of "Doctor Who", and other movies for the BBC. He works on Stage (nominated as "Best Newcomer Actor" by the Souffleur French Asssociation for "The Lord of the Flies"), Voice over (he's one of the French voices of M. Fassbender, James Franco, or D. Fogler) and he's also a singer (Recently in the french version of the Monty Python's "Spamalot"). He can perform in French, English, and Spanish. As a writer and director, he trained at the French National School La FEMIS and at INA workshops, Several books have been published, he writes or directs for tv series, short cuts, and theater.
