WWE Wrestlemania 38: Night One’ PPV Results & Review
Image
Welcome to this review of night one of WWE’s Wrestlemania 38 pay per view which emanated from the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas in front of a crowd of apparently 77,899 people!

Match #1: Smackdown Tag Team Championship – The Usos def. Shinsuke Nakamura & Rick Boogs The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

The Usos opened the most stupendous two-night WrestleMania in history looking to set the tone for The Bloodline and spoil Boogs’ first-ever appearance on The Grandest Stage of Them All. The guitar riffing herald thrilled not only his partner Nakamura, but the WWE Universe in attendance at AT&T Stadium as well with stunning feats of strength. This included going down to one knee while vertical suplexing Jey Uso, but the Usos didn’t become the longest-reigning SmackDown Tag Team Champions in history without taking a few punches. As Boogs attempted to squat both Usos, his injured knee gave out,...

Moon Knight: Will Jean-Paul Duchamp Be In the Show?
Ethan Hawke, F. Murray Abraham, Oscar Isaac, Antonia Salib, May Calamawy, Karim El Hakim, Saba Mubarak, Sofia Asir, and Michael Benjamin Hernandez in Moon Knight (2022)
This article contains mild spoilers for Marvel’s Moon Knight

When it comes to throwing in Easter eggs to get people talking, there’s nothing easier for a superhero movie or show than quickly revealing a list of names. Whether it’s a list of mutant filenames on a computer screen in X-Men 2 or Bucky Barnes’ list of people to get closure from in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, it’s an easy way to throw out some references or even hint at future appearances. The first episode of Moon Knight is a little more blatant about its name dropping.

As Oscar Isaac’s Steven Grant starts to slowly uncover the truth about his rampant blackouts, he discovers a hidden compartment in his home. There, he sees a very dated Motorola Razr. There are a ton of missed calls, all coming from “Layla,” except one noticeably labeled “Duchamp.

WWE Extreme Rules 2021 review: about as extreme as an episode of The Great British Bake Off
Bobby Lashley
After another polarising Big Four Pay-Per-View let down (Royal Rumble 2021 remains this year’s sole high spot for WWE’s biggest four PPVs) in a wonky SummerSlam, we were hoping for some electricity as WWE went extreme with the stipulation-heavy PPV Extreme Rules. Yeah, about that. This show was already being mocked somewhat online as ‘Regular Rules’, as there were virtually no stipulations announced for any of the night’s matches, barring a last minute addition to the main event (announced more out of necessity really). Like their Hell in a Cell event, one wonders if WWE should do away with events themed around gimmick matches and just let those stipulations happen organically as feuds dictate, y’know, like they used to?

Anyway, let’s see if some low expectations could be overcome on the night…

On The Kick-Off show, New WWE Champ Big E and The New Day came to blows with Aj Styles,...
