2025 has some great shows returning to network TV, so here are the big ones to look forward to!

TV networks traditionally hold off on shows for midseason, including returning ones. This was bigger after the 2023 Hollywood strikes affected the networks. Thus, a few decided to hold off on full seasons of shows until winter.

There are several shows that debuted in the fall coming back for the second half of their episodes, but these are some big shows coming back for new seasons in 2025 that network TV fans can’t wait to see!

CBS Ghosts season 4 just missed the chance for a perfect casting opportunity for its highest-profile guest character. The series, starring Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar), has an exciting history of introducing new characters into the mix. Its guest appearances often have unique and humorous ties to ghosts from various periods. For instance, Alberta Haynes hits it off with a famous baseball player from her day in Ghosts season 3, episode 7, "The Polterguest." Their connection made for a fun and memorable outing, even though their whirlwind romance didn't last.

The warm comedy “Ghosts” has been a hit for CBS, despite facing an at-times claustrophobic feeling over the years, perhaps spawned in part by being a show launched during the pandemic. The American series has plenty of spirits in the house to keep Sam and Jay on their toes. There are new characters in the Ghosts season 4 story, and one makes her debut in the premiere. A new ghost, Patience (Mary Holland), officially joins the series in the season 4 opener. Patience briefly appears in the Ghosts season 3 finale, but season 4 marks her official debut. In season 3, Patience kidnaps Isaac (Brandon Scott Jones) after his wedding, and season 4 starts with her vendetta against him.

All American Season 7 will not return until 2025, and when it does, it will be very different from the previous six seasons.
