Born and raised in a seaside town in San Diego, Kim studied acting at UCLA and moved to New York after college to work in theatre.
She has appeared in Broadway shows such as the Tony Award winning Best Musical, Hadestown, My Fair Lady at Lincoln Center and Summer: The Donna Summer Musical. She has also appeared on tour in Motown the Musical and at prestigious regional houses such as the Hollywood Bowl, the Pasadena Playhouse and Center Theatre Group's Mark Taper Forum.
She has had the pleasure of working with directors such as Tony Award winners Phylicia Rashad, Jerry Mitchell, Bartlett Sher, Sergio Trujillo, John Rando and more.
She is also a screenwriter, telling climate stories that illuminate beyond the doom of "we're all gonna die" - even though we are.
