Kevin L. Coffman
- Actor
- Writer
- Director
Kevin L. Coffman was born in Farmington, MO and began his career by telling stories at the age of six. By age ten, Coffman was bit by the acting bug and has been acting ever since, often dreaming up his own projects in the film world and bringing them to life. Eventually, his passion for creating characters, worlds, and even dialogue emerged into a passion for acting and getting to experience the journey and nuance of each character he plays.
Though Coffman retained the performer in him, he was the black sheep of the family as most everyone in his family pursued education or medical degrees. In addition, Coffman's expressiveness and quirkiness often made him a target of bullying during his time at school. During his high school and college years, some of which he has cited as the worst years of his life, Coffman submerged into writing which ended up with his first official short film "THE HIDDEN TRIALS", a Jekyll and Hyde story centering around mental health (of which Coffman is a strong advocator for). Since then, Coffman made it his mission to tell entertaining stories with depth and meaning (and a few twists, which Coffman claims is his favorite part of writing). Thus, his production company KC BLAZE ENTERTAINMENT (Formerly FilmsKayCee Pictures) was born, with frequent collaborator James Blaze Blake, as co-producer. The two often work out of St. Louis, MO, where Coffman's passion found its home.
While Coffman does produce films under his company as far as writing, directing, and further behind-the-scenes work, acting is still his number one passion.
Coffman is an avid improv actor and will often try, when he can, to bring that skill set to his craft, making him a truly unpredictable and versatile actor.
Selected credits for Kevin L. Coffman include "Mr. Happy" in "MR. HAPPY" and "MR. HAPPY AND HIS SIDEKICK", "Mojo Jojo" in "Team PPG: A Powerpuff Girls Fan Film", "Box Ghost" in "Remember: A Danny Phantom Phan-Film", and "Jake Keller/Hyde" in "THE HIDDEN TRIALS
