Bridgerton season 4 star Katie Leung has explained why her casting makes sense for the Regency Era, despite online backlash about her upcoming role. It was previously announced that Leung would be joining the cast of Bridgerton season 4 as Lady Araminta Gun, step-mother to Benedict's (Luke Thompson) love interest and co-lead Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha). However, her casting resulted in online backlash because of Leung's age. The actor is 37 years old in real life, but Araminta is supposed to be the biological mother of two teenage daughters.
Speaking with Refinery29, Leung addressed the backlash against her Bridgerton character's young age, claiming it aligns with the Regency Era because of how young women were when they got married in that time period. The actor also posited it had something to do with the racial stereotype that Asian people look younger than they are. Beyond the controversy, she also teased Araminta's role in the story,...

The most underrated character pairing could get a bigger story in Bridgerton season 4, adding a new layer to the Cinderella-coded storyline. Updates on Bridgerton season 4 have been minimal, but the return of many of the main cast members will allow the series to continue its memorable dynamics as the love story of Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) gets underway. One particular return could resurrect a seldom-seen but fun dynamic between her and Benedict, including more of the show's great comedy for its upcoming season: Lady Agatha Danbury (Adjoa Andoh).
Lady Danbury and Benedict's interactions are few and far between in Bridgerton, the only major example being her humorous machinations against him at the art gallery in season 1. However, their interactions could enhance Benedict's Bridgerton season 4 story, as they appear to be evolving from a simple comic relief duo to a strong pair of Ton members who do not truly play its games.

Leigh Whannell's Wolf Man is coming to theaters in January. The movie will mark the second remake of a Universal Monsters classic with Whannell at the helm after the hit 2020 film The Invisible Man.
While at New York Comic Con, Whannell opened up about Wolf Man in an interview with Screen Rant. Bridgerton is one of the biggest hits on Netflix. The third season of Bridgerton debuted in two parts: Part 1 debuted on May 16, 2024, and Part 2 on June 13, 2024. Bridgerton Season 3 follows Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington's love story while following the other Bridgerton siblings like Benedict, Eloise, and Francesca Bridgerton. The Bridgerton series is set in the Regency Era, and Penelope is almost considered a spinster by the third season. But how old is Penelope Featherington in Bridgerton? And how old are the rest of the Bridgerton siblings?
Fans of Bridgerton know that the customs and societal rules of the time aren't the same as they are in the modern era. Women of a certain social class debuted in society around the ages of 17 and 18. Most debutantes were expected to find a husband during London's "marriage mart" and "season," which usually consisted of about six months of social events, formal balls, and sporting events.

Horror fans, we have some pretty good news! It appears the upcoming reboot of the Universal Pictures lycanthropy IP, simply titled Wolf Man, is going for the jugular of standard horror. According to producer Jason Blum, the film is a pure horror movie that doesn't exactly stay in safe territory in terms of gore. Director Leigh Whannell confidently agrees with this as he takes a break from editing and speaks about his future release.
Produced by Jason Blum through his studio, Blumhouse Productions, Wolf Man has been in production since the early 2020s, when Universal noticed the potential of bringing back their catalog of Universal Classic Monsters, albeit with a refreshing take. Director Leigh Whannell had been attached to the project, but then, when Ryan Gosling entered the picture and brought along a pitch to be directed by Derek Cianfrance, there was a change of plans. The following contains major spoilers for Season 4, Episode 6 of The Boys, now streaming on Prime Video.
It's safe to say The Boys is quite a hit. Four seasons in, and it's still telling poignant stories about politics, using the vehicle of superheroes to drive the satire. Interestingly, as much as it melds action, fantasy, and sci-fi, showrunner Eric Kripke cracked the big time due to a horror series years before.
Kripke directed CW's Supernatural, so it should come as no surprise that he's brought over a few Supernatural connections with him. He cast Jensen Ackles (Supernatural's Dean Winchester) to play Soldier Boy and Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Joe Kessler one of Billy Butcher's former military allies. Coincidentally, The Boys features another connection to Supernatural in the form of Rob Benedict, who is only the latest actor to join the cast after previously starring in the hit CW show.

Speaking at an industry talk at the BFI London Film Festival, Goodson-Thomas, head of international production and development, said that Searchlight being “priced out” by streamers was something “that happens on a daily basis, it really does.”
She added: “But we just can’t be competitive with Netflix of Apple or Amazon.”
Goodson-Thomas pointed to Emerald Fennell — someone she said she’d “love to work with” — and her upcoming “Wuthering Heights” adaptation, a film Searchlight simply wouldn’t have the finances to support. “But I think she’s an extraordinary filmmaker and I want her film to be made so I’m happy for her to go to those people who have the money to finance it,” she said.

Bridgerton showrunner Jess Brownell explains how Felicity Featherington's absence enhances Penelope's development in season 3. Felicity's absence alters storylines due to her relations with Colin in the books, adding unpredictability and further character exploration. Season 3's departure from the source material promises fresh twists, indicated by Felicity's exclusion.
Bridgerton showrunner Jess Brownell has opened up about why one key character from the book series is not present in the TV show, explaining the decision behind leaving them out of the adaptation. While the Netflix series doesn't adapt its source material exactly, nor in the same order Julia Quinn's novels were released, it has maintained the same spirit as the original. However, it has also made some notable changes to its presentation, something reflected in the absence of Felicity Featherington in the story.

Many Marvel fans would love to see how original Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson would have made the poorly executed second film. Derrickson recently shared a tweet that highlighted the bad reviews against Harrison Ford’s 1982 film Blade Runner. He was among the few who loved the theatrical version and posted the tweet as his voice against the critical opinion. However, he later deleted the tweet and has a good explanation as to why he did it.
Scott Derrickson loved the theatrical cut of Harrison Ford’s Blade Runner
Blade Runner‘s theatrical version was not everyone’s favorite and critics bashed the film left and right. However, the criticism forced director Ridley Scott to come out with a Director’s Cut and later a much better Final Cut of the film.

“Brother, under what foreign sun did you apparently get so sturdy,” an amused Benedict grills his younger sibling Colin in a recent Bridgerton trailer. To be fair, he has a point.

It's been nearly forty years, but people still remember "The A-Team." The action adventure series went on for five seasons, but stuck around in the public consciousness for much, much longer. People still remember the theme song, the cartoonish violence, the catchphrases. But although many viewers throughout the 2000s wanted a revival of the show, the TV series itself never came back.
Instead, we got a feature film in 2010 starring an updated A-Team, with the characters being veterans of the Iraq War instead of veterans of Vietnam. The film underperformed at the box office, however, and they never made a sequel. Unlike "21 Jump Street," a franchise where the later movies have now long-since overshadowed the TV show for most younger viewers, when people of all ages today think of "The A-Team," they're still almost certainly thinking of the show.

Season one of Netflix's period drama series, "Bridgerton" - based on the book series of the same name - left us hot and bothered, and dare we say, burning for more. Yet the show managed to outdo itself with season two, which followed the even more slow-burning relationship between Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma. Season one of the prequel series "Queen Charlotte" also gave us plenty of steamy love scenes and heart-wrenching romance to tide us over while we wait for "Bridgerton" season three, which will focus on Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton.
"Bridgerton" has its fair share of memorable quotes, which don't always make for the best pickup lines on Tinder, but are a lot of fun to reference on the regular. However, every line in the series is indebted to author Julia Quinn, who clearly knows how to write a tension-filled, blush-inducing romance.

More details about Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story have been revealed showing that the prequel will continue a major Bridgerton costume trend. Bridgerton is set in the 1800s Regency era of England, and it has all the period drama costumes to match. Bridgerton has two seasons so far, each one focused on a different Bridgerton sibling’s story: first Daphne, and then Anthony. Bridgerton’s success has led to the creation of a prequel, focused on a Young Queen Charlotte, and her relationship with King George, who has not been shown much in Bridgerton, so this will be a fresh and exciting story for audiences.

Set in 1813, Bridgerton takes place during England's Regency Era, and throughout, the series gets some aspects of the historical period right and others completely wrong. Bridgerton is based on a series of romance novels by Julia Quinn and follows the wealthy Bridgerton family as its eight siblings find love in Regency London. In the first two seasons, the show has explored the romance of eldest daughter Daphne and the Duke of Hastings, the family heir Anthony's enemies-to-lovers relationship with newcomer Kate, and will next explore the complicated unrequited love between Colin Bridgerton, third son, and his best friend Penelope.
The events of Bridgerton season 1 begin in the year 1813, fitting perfectly into the period of history known as the Regency Era. This historical time period lasted from 1811 to 1820, though it sometimes extends to the years 1795 to 1837. The Regency Era is defined by the time span in which King George III appointed his son,...

Richard Hatch, the actor who played Apollo in the original Battlestar Galactica attempted to revive the show in the late 1990s, but it's for the best that audiences got the Ronald D. As well as the Hatch project and the successful Moore reboot, Bryan Singer and original BSG creator Glen A. Larson had separate movie proposals in development.

On their own, they are among Hollywood’s best loved stars. Together, George Clooney and Julia Roberts — who play ex-spouses reunited in Bali for their daughter’s wedding in Ticket to Paradise, out Oct. 21 — have lit up the screen a few times.
Most recently was in 2016’s Money Monster, a Jodie Foster-helmed thriller about a cable news star taken hostage in his studio (Clooney is the star, Roberts his producer). Both had small parts in 2002’s Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Clooney’s directorial debut. But their first — and, to date, most memorable — pairing came in 2001’s Ocean’s Eleven.
The Steven Soderbergh remake was loosely based on the Rat Pack film from 1960. In the modern version, Clooney plays Danny Ocean, a thief recently released from prison who wastes no time planning his next heist, simultaneously targeting the Bellagio, Mirage and MGM Grand casinos in Las Vegas.

Bridgerton executive producers Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers tease Colin's evolution and his romance with Penelope in season 3. Based on Julia Quinn's Regency-era romance novels, each season of Bridgerton follows a different member of the eponymous noble family as they navigate London high society in search of love. The first season followed the fiery romance between Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page), while season 2 shifted focus to Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) in a tumultuous love triangle with sisters Kate (Simone Ashley) and Edwina Sharma (Charithra Chandran).
