Rebecca Alves (Rio de Janeiro, June 5, 1998), or just Rebecca, formerly known as MC Rebecca, is a Brazilian singer, dancer and model.
Rebecca's first steps as an artist were in the court of Salgueiro, as a passista. It was there where she spent ten years dedicated to Carnival, until she had to choose a new career. The song "Cai de Boca", a Ludmilla composition, was very successful in her voice, at the funk dances in Rio. As soon as "Cai de Boca" was recorded, it quickly broke out in Rio de Janeiro. "It happened in a week and it was really crazy. Rebecca launched herself as an MC with her debut single "Cai de Boca," composed by Ludmilla and produced by DJ Zebrinha. "I received a gift from Ludmilla. I am very grateful to her. Prohibidão was by DJ Zebrinha, and since she left, everything changed in my life." Managed by Rennan da Penha, Rebecca does not intend to leave the post of Queen of the Passistas that she has already occupied for 3 years. "I intend to continue in Salgueiro. It is my second home there."
She was the Queen of the "Passistas da Escola de Samba Salgueiro" from 2016 until 2019, and decided to invest more in her artistic career, also investing in singing, in addition to dancing and advertising campaigns in which she participated, and in the beginning she started singing funk carioca, however in interviews she revealed that she would love to sing samba, because she sang this musical rhythm informally when she was trying to start her career. Currently, she also sings pop and funk melody. The artist is managed by businesswoman Kamilla Fialho, the same who manages Lexa's career and who managed Anitta until 2014.

Born and raised in a humble family in the suburbs of Rio de Janeiro, in Morro São João, a favela belonging to the district of Engenho Novo, she was raised by her maternal uncles, since her father abandoned her pregnant mother, and she never met him, and when she was a newborn her mother was arrested for stealing. She stayed in the guardianship system until she was six months old, when her grandfather managed to get her out, and final custody was awarded to her aunt and uncle. She grew up visiting her mother in prison, and in interviews revealed that she had gotten used to this, and that this factor did not represent a trauma in her life. She started living with her mother in her late teens, when she was released.
In 2017, her daughter, whom she named Morena, was born, by normal delivery, in Rio de Janeiro. She revealed to the media that she raises her daughter alone, because her ex-boyfriend did not want to assume paternity of the child. In interviews, she said she was proud to be black, a funk-rocker, and a single mother. Discreet about her personal life, she is eventually seen with anonymous and famous men, but has not assumed any serious relationship.
