Every Father Figure in Bleach, Ranked from Worst to Best
Image
With characters being slow to age in Bleach, there aren't that many fathers to go around. Of those few fathers, many of them aren't great. However, there are others who have stepped up to raise not just their own children, but their grandchildren, too. There are many ways to be a good dad, and more ways to be a bad one. This shonen shows a whole spectrum of dynamics, and they each impact all those involved. While each character's father is never the only influence in their life, this relationship has always been important.

Arguably including grandparents for raising their grandchildren, is pushing it for what qualifies in this list. Characters like Sora Inoe, who raised his sister, could have also been added. However, he's always been firmly considered Orihime Inoe's brother. Relationships in Bleach are often fluid and don't have to fall under strict boxes of how characters are...

10 Shonen Anime Characters That Could Almost Defeat Gojo
Image
Jujutsu Kaisen introduced anime fans to one of the most famously overpowered anime characters of all, the elite sorcerer Satoru Gojo. He has harnessed the power of infinity itself with his Limitless curse energy, and when he combines that with his masterful martial arts, Satoru Gojo is practically untouchable in battle. Satoru proved it many times in battle, such as when he trounced Jogo with the overwhelming power of his Domain Expansion.

Few anime characters stand a chance of defeating Satoru Gojo and his formidable power of Infinity, but a fair number could come close to challenging him. None of them have what it takes to finish the job, but they could still give Satoru Gojo a workout and push him harder than Jogo and the other curses in Mahito's squad ever could. These elite fighters are some of the strongest anime heroes and villains, whose powers often bend and...

20 Best Seinen Manga, Ranked
Image
For most, the world of anime and manga is dominated by shonen series, typically action-focused storyies aimed primarily at a young male demographic (famed hits like Dragon Ball Z and even Death Note included). However, there are also anime and manga aimed at an older demographic, and that category is known as seinen.

So, what is seinen? "Seinen" is media aimed at older males in their late teens and 20s. In general, these series tend to star older protagonists, feature more explicit content, and deal with darker subject matter (though not all have to). While that male audience is the only real requirement to be seinen, the series can be enjoyed by anyone, and contains the variety to do exactly that. Below are ten of the absolute best seinen series available, offering great entry points into this diverse and underappreciated genre.

Bleach Actor Suggests a Major Wedding Is Coming For the Anime at Last
Image
Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War has made a name for itself with all the major additions it's made to the manga's story, and it looks like fans are in for at least one more big change: a wedding. Once skipped over in the manga, fans may get to see this wedding in animated form.

When Thousand-Year Blood War began to be adapted, fans were eager to see the new series specifically because the ending of the manga was so rushed that it skipped over some very important scenes. While changes were minimal at first, they've grown more significant with each cour, and now the currently airing episodes have featured some major new scenes, particularly involving Uryu, making him into a character as important as he was always stated to be. Fans expect the fourth cour to include a substantial amount of added content, based on how much manga is left to adapt,...

10 Anime Characters Who Share Bleach's English Voice Actor For Yhwach
Image
Yhwach is the main villain of Bleach's Thousand-Year Blood War Arc and is arguably the strongest character in Bleach. He is the son of the Soul King and the wielder of The Almighty - a godly ability which allows him to see into the future and alter it. Takayuki Sugo provides Yhwach's original Japanese voice, but Richard Epcar is his English voice actor. Epcar has been voice acting since 1985 and has voiced quite a few anime characters over the years.

Richard Epcar has voiced several anime villains, but he has voiced some heroic characters as well. Some of Epcar's characters play very small roles in their respective series, though he has also voiced some well-known characters from established anime series. He has voiced humans, supernatural beings, and everything in between.

These Two Villains from One Piece and Bleach Share Strong Similarities
Image
This article contains spoilers from One Piece Chapter 1125

While Bleach and One Piece are both shnen anime that gained popularity around the same time, they are usually very different from each other. They have incredibly different styles, themes, stories and characters. However, there are rare occasions where they overlap. Despite taking different approaches, the series are both too big not to go over similar topics at points. In this case, two of the major villains from each show happen to have a lot of similarities.

Yhwach has been a force of nature since his introduction. He's been a dominating force that's brought devastation to Soul Society. While he's currently having a hard time in his battle against Ichibe Hyosube, he's still unmatched for the sheer destruction caused as a Bleach antagonist. On the other hand, Imu is a lot more mysterious character. There has been almost nothing shared about them yet,...

One Piece Characters Shanks Will Fight In The Final Saga
Image
Shanks has not had much screen time, but he is still one of the most popular characters in One Piece. He is now the longest reigning Yonko, which means he controls a good chunk of the New World's territory. Shanks appears to be a kind-hearted and honorable pirate, but his true motives are still unknown. As One Piece enters its final saga, Shanks is expected to play a much larger role in the story, which means he will likely fight other strong characters.

Shanks will probably fight other notable pirates, but there are a few high-ranking Marines who would gladly pick a fight with him as well. There is a high chance Shanks will also have to fight some overpowered Celestial Dragons. All of these potential opponents would have a hard time fighting Shanks, as he has mastered all three types of Haki, including their advanced forms.

“I’ll write it out in hiragana”: You Will Look at Anime Voice Actors Differently After 1 Bleach Va Went Off Script to Improvize His Lines That Even Left Tite Kubo Stunned
Image
Bleach is popular for its ever-looming themes of death, violence, and friendships. Its blend of Japanese mythology with Western languages makes it different from most Shonen anime. Although Tite Kubo won several accolades for this manga, voice actors deserve their due recognition as well.

While a mangaka creates a manga, the voice actor breathes life into the art through their performance. Most voice actors attempt challenging roles that can be emotionally draining. For some, it pertains to the character’s inner journey, for others; it is the language barrier. Yhwach’s voice actor Takayuki Sugo counters this challenge in his own way, as the author reveals.

Takayuki Sugo deployed hilarious antics for memorizing lines in Bleach

Takayuki Sugo voices the role of Yhwach in Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War, written by Tite Kubo. He previously voiced the role of Zangetsu in the original series.

“It says Bankai”: Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Became Such a Challenge for Yhwach’s Voice Actor that He was Pushed to Demand for Lesser Lines
Image
Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War has returned to the anime’s former glory. The fans had to wait for a long time. But after watching it for the first time, they believed it was worth the wait. Thousand Year Blood War will depict the final battle between the Soul Reapers and Quincies, introducing several new faces. Yhwach is the formidable leader of the Quincies.

Tite Kubo’s magnum opus shook the entire anime world when it returned in late 2022. One of the striking features was the improvement of the animation and the minute details. Even after such improvements, Takayuki Sugo, Yhwach’s voice actor, had a problem memorizing his lines due to the difference in the dialects. He had to ask for fewer lines after facing such a problem.

Bleach fans have been eagerly awaiting the return of Ichigo in Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War, which has become a worldwide mega-hit. While the substitute shinigami made a smashing entrance in the first episode of the anime, the subsequent episodes have been focusing more on the Gotei 13 and the overarching villain of the series.
