Growing up in the vibrant city of Miami, FL, as a proud Cuban American, William's love affair with television and film began at an early age. His journey kicked off in the dynamic world of news, sports, and documentaries, where his innate talents quickly caught the eye of industry insiders, leading to the prestigious honor of receiving two Emmys from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for his outstanding regional news programming.
Fuelled by his unwavering commitment to storytelling, he was selected for an incredible opportunity to participate in a Soviet-American journalist exchange program during the era of Perestroika, broadening his horizons and enriching his journalism career in ways he never imagined.
Inspired by the diverse stories, William took a leap of faith into the entertainment industry. His first taste of the big screen came as a camera operator on the set of "Up Close and Personal," starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Robert Redford.
As William seamlessly transitioned into the realm of feature films and television programming, capturing the magic of music videos to crafting captivating promos, reality TV, and commercials, William has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including icons like Paul McCartney, Lenny Kravitz, Michael Jackson, and Shakira.
William has continued to carve out a path of success, amassing a collection of award-winning feature films in both English and Spanish that showcase his versatility and creativity as a filmmaker. Beyond his impressive filmography, William's collaborative spirit has led him to collaborate with major broadcasters like MTV, VH-1, MAX, TLC, and Discovery, where he has lent his expertise as an executive producer, line producer, director, and director of photography to over 400 episodes across narrative, documentary, and reality TV genres.
