Last year, 24 In 24: Last Chef Standing premiered its first season and it saw 24 chefs competing in 24 challenges for 24 hours from 9 am on day one until one chef remained standing at 9 am on day two. The exhausting yet interesting concept was accepted by the audience, leading to success.

Michael Symon and Esther Choi hosted the first edition and it saw several guests make appearances namely Eric Adjepong, Maneet Chauhan, Scott Conant, Stephanie Izard, Jet Tila, Bryan Voltaggio, Michael Voltaggio, and Brooke Williamson. Here’s what we know about season 2 of the same.

The Food Network TV series returns for Season 2 this Sunday (April 27) at 8 p.m. Et.

Shot in real time, hosts Michael Symon and Esther Choi will bring 24 chefs together for 24 challenges over the course of 24 straight hours.

One competitor will survive to become the last chef standing and win $75,000.

Shot in real time, the “24 in 24: Last Chef Standing” features 24 chefs competing in 24 challenges over the course of 24 straight hours. The challenges are divided into eight shifts that reflect a chef’s daily life and focus on skills including speed, resourcefulness, artistry and adaptability.

Cooking skills won’t be enough to get them to the finish line, as ingenuity and calculated risks are needed to survive and cook another day. Actor Tituss Burgess will lend his iconic judgement to Food Network this fall as the host of new competition series “Last Bite Hotel.”

In the show, eight chefs have been invited to a remote hotel for a game of resourcefulness and creativity, per Food Network’s description for the series. Tasked by hotel manager Burgess to meet the culinary demands of the hotel’s VIP guests, each chef may only bring 13 ingredients for their entire stay. Cooking skills won’t be enough to get them to the finish line, as ingenuity and calculated risks are needed to survive and cook another day.

As the game proceeds, each challenge completed means precious ingredients are dwindling, and, for the competitors, the chance of being banished to the dreaded Room 13 is increasing. Bravo has set the premiere date for Season 18 of “Top Chef,” which was shot in Portland, Ore., amid the pandemic. The network also released a trailer featuring the crop of new contestants who packed their knives and headed off to cook for Padma Lakshmi, Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons in the Pacific Northwest.
