The timeless track ‘Zihaal-e-Miskin’ which was originally composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal, sung by Lata Mangeshkar and penned by veteran lyricist-director Gulzar, has got a contemporary twist.

The new version of the song, which was released on Thursday has been created by music composer duo Javed Mohsin and has been crooned by Vishal Mishra and Shreya Ghoshal.

The heartfelt lyrics penned by Gulzar have also been given a fresh interpretation by the talented lyricist Kunaal Verma in the new rendition.

Sharing her thoughts on the new version of the song, Shreya said: “Taking an old classic and giving it a fresh spin for a new audience really bridges the gap between generations. ‘Zihaal-e-Miskin’ is like a timeless gem of love and heartbreak.”

In the upcoming episode of ‘Bigg Boss 16’, Shalin Bhanot will be seen in tears as he will ask Shiv Thakare and Mc Stan to nominate him since he cannot take it anymore.

A promo shared by the channel on Instagram starts with Shalin sitting alone in the bathroom. Sumbul Touqeer asks Nimrit Ahluwalia that he has no one left in the house to talk to.

In the clip, Shiv is heard saying: “Accept that you made a mistake.” Following which she goes into her room crying.

Moments later, Sajid Khan is heard saying that Nimrit owes everyone an apology following which the actress tells the filmmaker that she has “anxiety issues”.

Not stopping there, Shiv is heard saying: “Overacting karne se kuch nahi hota”.

Television actress Nimrit Ahluwalia was seen telling Sumbul Touqeer about Shalin Bhanot’s arrogance as he spoke about his worth being more than all of the contestants combined in the ‘Bigg Boss 16’ show.

While talking about Shalin’s behaviour, she said that he told everyone “I’m worth more than all of you combined”.

Shalin’s statement created a tizzy in the house.

An offended Nimrit was heard telling Sumbul: “He is 15 years older to me and is not the one to judge me, his journey is different than mine. He talked about his worth in front of all of us and I don’t think it was right.”

Actress Soundarya Sharma agreed with Nimrit’s statement and said that she has witnessed the same as well.
