Controversial Nick Cannon is continuing his comeback, returning to morning hosting on radio station Kpwr, better known as Power 106, a Meruelo Media outlet in Los Angeles.

The Top 40/rhythmic station sidelined Cannon in July 2020 after he made anti-Semitic comments on a podcast. He will also continue on the Skyview Networks syndicated show Nick Cannon Radio.

Cannon got into hot water last summer when remarks he made on the podcast Cannon’s Class surfaced. His guest on the June 30, 2020 show was Richard Griffin, aka Professor Griff, who is known for his own history of controversial remarks, which once led him to be dropped by the rap group Public Enemy.

Nick Cannon is reteaming with ViacomCBS after apologizing for the comments that got him fired.

Per Deadline, Cannon is returning as the host of Wild 'N Out after apologizing for anti-semitic comments he made.

“I want to assure my Jewish friends, new and old, that this is only the beginning of my education — I am committed to deeper connections, more profound learning and strengthening the bond between our two cultures today and every day going forward,” Cannon says in a statement to the outlet.

The news comes less than a year after ViacomCBS announced it was severing ties with the star due to his comments.

"ViacomCBS condemns bigotry of any kind and we categorically denounce all forms of anti-Semitism," ViacomCBS said in a statement when they announced his firing.

"We have spoken with Nick Cannon about an episode of his podcast 'Cannon’s Class' on YouTube, which promoted hateful speech and spread anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.

Nick Cannon and ViacomCBS have reunited following the company’s decision to fire the “Wild ‘N Out” host last summer over comments he made on his podcast, which they said “promoted hateful speech and spread anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.”

“Nick has not only apologized and taken responsibility for his comments, but he has also worked to educate himself and others through engagement with Jewish leaders and on his platforms,” an MTV Entertainment Group spokesperson told TheWrap in a statement Thursday. “Those efforts are of the utmost importance and that’s why we have invited him to rejoin our team. ViacomCBS has reestablished its working relationship with Nick Cannon. The move, company insiders tell Variety, comes as a result of the steps that the performer and producer has taken to engage and partner with Jewish leaders and make amends for anti-Semitic statements he made last summer that led to ViacomCBS to cut its ties to Cannon.

Production on new episodes of Cannon’s long running comedy series “Wild ‘N Out” is expected to resume at some point beyond the near future. Old episodes of “Wild ‘N Out” are returning to VH1’s linear schedule this week.

The premiere of Nick Cannon’s upcoming nationally syndicated daytime talk show has been pushed following criticism over anti-Semitic remarks that he made on a June episode of his podcast.

Titled “Nick Cannon,” the talker was ordered last fall and set to launch Sept. 21. Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury, which is the producer and distributor of Cannon’s show, says it’s “standing by Nick” and hopes to premiere the series in Fall 2021.

“The ‘Nick Cannon’ talk show will not debut this year,” Lionsgate and Debmar-Mercury said in a statement Friday. “After conversations with Nick, we do believe that his public comments don’t reflect his true feelings and his apology is heartfelt and sincere. We want to continue the healing process as he meets with leaders of the Jewish community and engages in a dialogue with our distribution partners to hear their views.”

Nick Cannon has announced a decision to “take some time away” from his morning radio show in order to focus on “thorough reflection and education” following anti-Semitic comments made on his podcast.

“Morning radio family. I have decided to take some time away from my radio show so I can commit myself to deeper, more thorough reflection and education,” Cannon, who has been hosting “Nick Cannon Morning” on Kpwr-fm Power 106 since June 2019, said in a tweet Thursday.

Wednesday night, Nick Cannon issued another apology over anti-Semitic comments he made during a recent podcast. Around that time, Fox also announced that Cannon would keep his job hosting The Masked Singer.

On a June 30th episode of his podcast, Cannon’s Class, Cannon referenced anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, including long-held claims about the Rothschild banking family. The comments came during an interview with Richard Griffin, better known as Professor Griff, a former member of Public Enemy who was fired from the group in the Eighties after also making derogatory comments about Jews.

You know exactly what you’re getting into with a film like The Disco Exorcist, especially given that the film opens with a disclaimer that exclaims the producers can’t even remember making the movie! A grindhouse-inspired sexploitation flick the film follows Rex Romanski, a swinger, a womaniser and nightclub dancer. His aim in life is to seduce women and then casually dump them. Director: Richard Griffin. Review: Jay. Sometimes, taking the example of Cutthroat Island, the concept is better than the outcome; luckily this is a much more watch able film than that one! On first glance Disco Exorcist sounds like a dream movie experience, all the grooves of a Travolta inspired turn on the dance floor, coupled with demonic possession. Luckily the trailer doesn’t give everything away, and there are still plenty of t*ts, t*ts and more T*Ts to be seen! Disco Exorcist is a full on Grindhouse experience, it’s got all the exploitation you expect, the scratchy film, strange jarring edits and oodles of nudity. I almost wonder if the majority of their budget went into creating the scratches and bumps, but as a piece of film that is emulating the genre, it does a great job of capturing the look and feel you’d expect.

The Disco Exorcist is a lowbudget indie horrorcomedy throwback to the possession films (and Exorcist ripoffs) of the 1970s filled with blood nudity sex nudity drugs nudity black magic and oh yeah lots and lots of nudity. On the same low budget as his other indie films director Richard Griffin has produced a pitchperfect tribute to the time when disco ruled. Its so successful both because of how well it blends 70s style with effective humor and how good the performances are.

Once again, those magnificent bastards over at All Things Horror are throwing another amazing party, and you — yes, You — are invited.

Just so you know, the party in question is a film festival called Shudderfest, and it will take place this weekend, October 26 and 27, at the Somerville Theatre in Somerville, Massachusetts. If I were you, I'd make arrangements now, because it's going to be the Eastern seaboard's preeminent Halloween event.

For years now, Chris Hallock and Mike Snoonian, the proprietors of All Things Horror, have sought out and screened the best of independent genre cinema during monthly screenings at the Somerville. But I have to say, this time, they've outdone themselves.

The Killer Film Fest is happening November 1-3, 2012, in Somerville, Massachusetts, and the official feature and short film selections have been announced. It's a pretty impressive group so if you live in the area, definitely mark your calendar now!

Killer Film Fest has been bringing the best of indie horror to the screen and web since 2009. Join them this year for a "Killer" experience and the event's first annual zombie pub crawl.

The 6th annual Sydney Underground Film Festival is taking over all three screens of the Factory Theatre for a blow-out four-day event on Sept. 6-9.

Making it’s World Premiere at the fest on the 8th is the highly anticipated President Wolfman, the latest “green movie” by director Mike Davis that he’s cobbled together from public domain footage and feature films and set to an outrageous new soundtrack. Female filmmakers in the sci-fi and fantasy genre will be celebrated with the first ever Etheria Film Festival, to be held in September 2012.

Etheria is the brainchild of film journalist Heidi Honeycutt and the Viscera Organisation, a not-for-profit group dedicated to increasing the visibility of female genre filmmakers.

Last month, the Viscera Film Festival Carpet Ceremony put the spotlight on up-and-coming women directors in the horror genre with a programme of new short films and a celebrity judging panel of industry veterans.

A Viscera spokeswoman said: "The Viscera Film Festival has been showcasing the best in emerging female horror film talent since 2007.

Rhode Island-based Scorpio Film Releasing has wrapped production on its 12th feature film, Murder University, and sent over a few new stills from the flick, which is an homage to the slasher films of the 80's slated to premiere in late July of 2012.

Sfr promises that Murder University is the company's most violent and gory film to date. It stars Jamie Dufault, Michael Thurber, and Samantha Acampora.

Director Richard Griffin says, "Murder University is nothing but pure entertainment. Extreme graphic violence, action, sex, nudity, comedy, a musical number... hell, anything and everything we could throw at the audience, we did!
