Bracken Burns grew up in the small northern Alberta town of Peace River, where her passion for theatre began at a young age. After earning her Master of Arts (Performance) from the prestigious Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, she spent eight years in the UK performing in acclaimed stage productions, including the sold-out The Improvised Musical (Edinburgh International Fringe Festival), Saturday Night Fever (English Theatre Frankfurt and UK No. 1 Tour), Wasted Love, and Clinton The Musical.
On screen, Bracken shared the screen with Viggo Mortensen and Laura Linney in his directorial debut Falling, an official selection at Sundance, TIFF, Cannes, and VIFF. Her additional screen credits include Frankie Drake Mysteries, Netflix's I Woke Up a Vampire, Winston Rowntree's peopleWatching (Canadian Screen Award winner, 2018) - where she plays singer-songwriter Flossy and co-wrote original songs - and voice work in Ubisoft's Watch Dogs: Legion. She also performed as a vocalist in a sketch for CBC's This Hour Has 22 Minutes.
Recent highlights include starring as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde The Musical and releasing her debut single Just Kept Walking. Bracken continues to work internationally, splitting her time between London, UK, and Toronto, Canada.
In addition to performing, Bracken is the Head of Scripted at Cutting Class Media, where she develops and produces narrative content for screen.
