"Young Sheldon" actor Iain Armitage portrayed the younger version of Sheldon Cooper of "The Big Bang Theory" fame, a character made famous by Jim Parsons. For seven seasons, Armitage piled nuance and backstory revelations on the fan-favorite "Big Bang Theory" figure, which is more than enough to make him a true authority on all Sheldon Cooper-themed matters.
Knowing this, it's interesting to learn which "Young Sheldon" episodes Armitage personally thinks are the finest examples of the show's nuanced approach to Sheldon's formative years. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he named two particular favorites:
"I love the geology episode that we did in season 1. We showed why Sheldon hates geology as an adult. I also love the black hole episode because it's just funny and different and weird — really out there but kind of cool to see that we can take those risks."

There are many things that DC Comics fans are longing for, but a third Injustice video game is definitely on that list. It's something we've been discussing since completing Injustice 2 and, with that having come out in 2017, it's been some time indeed.
With that in mind, let's do some more theorizing, this time about which characters could appear in Injustice 3 if it happens. To be honest, there are so many DC characters that haven't been used in the Injustice games that it would be impossible to list them all, so let's look at some of the ones that I want to see the most and the ones that fans have been clamoring over for years.
Magical characters
Let's begin by talking about the magical characters of the DC Universe, because most of them haven't received much attention in these games. While characters like Swamp Thing and Shazam were playable characters in the previous games,...

Before she starred in movies, Brec Bassinger first made a splash as the cheerleader-turned-football player Bella Dawson of Bella and the Bulldogs on Nickelodeon, and later won over audiences as the eponymous hero of the tragically canceled CW hit Stargirl. This time, Bressinger takes a leading role in the dramatized true-crime horror-thriller, The Man In the White Van, directed by Warren Skeels and also starring Madison Wolfe, Sean Astin and Ali Larter. During the 1970s in rural Florida, the most that teenage sisters Annie (Wolfe) and Magaret (Bassinger) have to worry about are their prospective love interests, not angering their traditional parents, and butting heads over the younger Annie's brazen, hot-blooded tomboyishness and Margaret's desire to be prim, ladylike and socially acceptable.
But when a mysterious and ominous white van begins to appear around their home, stalking Annie, both sisters are forced to set aside their differences to save each other's lives.

Warning: Spoilers for Black Lightning #1!The next big star of DC's younger generation has been crowned courtesy of Wonder Woman. As far as female superheroes go within the DC Universe and, frankly, every superhero community, Wonder Woman has been the bar that's been strived for dating back to her first appearance in 1941. Wonder Woman isn't just one of the first female superheroes, she's the female superhero.
Wonder Woman uses her high position in the DC Universe to co-sign Lightning, the daughter of Black Lightning, in Black Lightning #1 by Brandon Thomas, Fico Ossio, Ulises Arreola, and Lucas Gattoni. It's a moment that happens off-panel, but it's a moment big enough to warrant multiple mentions in the same comic.
Clearly, DC doesn't want audiences to forget or take Wonder Woman's endorsement for granted. It could be the first step into her godfathering Lightning as the brand's next big female star.

DC has produced many high-quality TV shows over the years, with key aspects that make many stand out, and the best of them offer variety for those looking for live-action DC series. While Marvel Studios has been dominating the movie landscape since the MCU started, DC has the upper hand on TV. After all, the Arrowverse's series soared when the Dceu faltered, showing how a shared universe on TV can work.
Recently, director Matt Reeves and his The Batman universe proved once again that is something DC should look into, as The Penguin perfectly expanded upon Robert Pattinson's Batman movie. James Gunn's DC Universe is well aware of the potential that live-action series have. The Dcu already has many announced shows in different stages of development, with Peacemaker season 2 being the franchise's first live-action series to debut, set for a 2025 release. But this Green Lantern could pose an even greater threat than Waller anticipates. Lesser-known heroes like Black Lightning, Captain Atom, and Star Sapphire should be included in the Justice League. Team stories are better with a diverse lineup that includes A-listers and C-listers, providing unpredictable chemistry. The Justice League roster should change to keep things interesting, following the model of the Justice League Unlimited cartoon.
The Justice League has been DC's flagship superhero team since their introduction in the pages of The Brave and the Bold #28 in 1960. While the team has been best-known for its use of A-listers, I really think it's at its best when it houses more distinct personalities so I'm thrilled with the new line-up.

The Arrowverse had great success for many years on The CW. Greg Berlanti's Arrowverse at one point had six television shows running simultaneously, including Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Batwoman and Black Lightning. It was an amazing time for superhero television as the Arrowverse bested the Dceu despite having limitations on certain characters, which forced the shows to be creative.
Each Arrowverse show has had its individual ups and downs over the years. But there were some truly incredible seasons that deserve to be recognized as defining seasons. With the Arrowverse over and Superman & Lois in a separate universe, it's time to look back at the best seasons in The CW's DC TV universe.

Starring Sean Astin (Stranger Things), Ali Larter (The Rookie), Madison Wolfe (The Conjuring 2) and more, the film is inspired by a series of true crimes that shook the nation in the 1970s and delves into the harrowing experiences of Annie Williams (Wolfe), a spirited family girl, whose carefree existence is turned upside down as she finds herself stalked by an ominous man in a white van. Prone to exaggeration, her parents’ disbelief in her tales of being followed leads to a terrifying Halloween nightmare.

Running for almost a decade, Grant Gustin’s tenure as The Flash came to a close with Season 9 a year ago. Justice Society of America #9 makes a significant change to DC lore, revealing that most illusion-casting technology used by modern villains is derived from the original Harlequin's tech – which, more shockingly, can be traced back to the Guardians of Oa. Harlequin's "hypnotic illusion" casting glasses were given to her by the Manhunters, who were themselves creations of the Guardians, meaning the creators of the Green Lantern Corps are also responsible for troublesome tech proliferating the Earth in the present day. Supervillains like Doctor Light and Mirror Master are able to menace DC's heroes thanks to the "trickle down" effect of technology in the Dcu.

The Justice League of individually twisted heroes assembled by Monarch in Countdown: Arena was a missed opportunity for DC. Members of the team include the vampiric Batman, a cannibalistic Blue Beetle, and the Red Son version of Superman. Despite the potential for a multiversal threat, the team has yet to be used again in current comics.
There are countless twisted versions of the Justice League throughout the DC Universe, but these are usually opposite or corrupted versions of the League. Despite missing out on Supergirl, Meg Donnelly could still find a role in the DC Universe as another hero. Donnelly's casting as another hero would be welcomed by fans and has precedent in the Dcu. Donnelly could potentially play Stargirl, Batgirl, Zatanna, and more in the Dcu.
Meg Donnelly missed out on playing the Supergirl of the new DC Universe, but the talented actress could still find her way into the shared universe as another exciting DC hero. In early January, it was revealed that Donnelly was among the actresses considered to play the Dcu's Supergirl. Later, Donnelly and House of the Dragon star Milly Alcock reportedly became the top two candidates for Supergirl. In the end, Alcock ended up being cast as Supergirl, with Donnelly as the runner-up after having reportedly screen-tested in Supergirl's costume and boots.
Meg Donnelly is the voice of Supergirl in multiple animated movies in DC's Tomorrowverse.

Grant Gustin and Ryan Reynolds reunited in a commercial, giving fans a glimpse of what a live-action team-up between The Flash and Green Lantern could have been like. The fan art created by Julian Bell shows Gustin's Flash and Reynolds' Green Lantern meeting at Star Labs, capturing the excitement of DC fans. The Arrowverse planted several Easter eggs for Green Lantern but never followed through due to character restrictions and budget concerns, unlike the upcoming Green Lantern Corps movie and Stargirl's inclusion of the hero.
New DC Universe fan art brings Grant Gustin's The Flash and Ryan Reynolds' Green Lantern together, showing what a team-up between Barry Allen and Hal Jordan could have looked like in live-action. While their time as their respective DC characters is over, Gustin and Reynolds managed to show the internet the two figures for what is potentially one last time with a short but sweet commercial.

Don't let the jagged, sharp extra appendages fool you! Blue Beetle (2023) used to be part of an entire collection of forgotten properties that DC acquired from Charleton and Fox comics alongside EC's horror properties way back in 1986. But the heroes, of course, were much, much older. Savvy comic connoisseurs will recognize the now-popular Peacemaker (2022) as a leftover from this bygone comic era. Peacemaker, alongside Blue Beetle, is about to celebrate a centennial anniversary – and with the first reviews from Rotten Tomatoes trending positive – the outlook for Blue Beetle and his ancient kin looks fantastic!

Blue Beetle is a long-standing character in DC's canon, with a rich history dating back to the late 1930s. The revival of Blue Beetle is seen as a fresh and innovative idea in the superhero genre, potentially capturing a new demographic. The inclusion of a Latino lead and a diverse cast reflects DC's attempt to appeal to a more inclusive audience and trends in American consciousness.
The Blue Beetle is certainly looking well for his age! Nine out of ten moviegoers attending the titular character's premiere in Blue Beetle (2023) will have little to no idea of the vast, rich history of the character. And that's perfectly fine – in fact – that's kind of the point! In a brilliant tactical move, DC has decided to revitalize a long-dormant character in their canon. The question then is; will DC succeed in capturing a new demographic to invigorate its youth market?

Just when we as viewers were thinking that it would be tough for My Adventures With Superman to top the brilliant sixth episode, which portrayed marginalized characters like Monsieur Mallah and Brain in a sympathetic light, the seventh episode pushed the limits by introducing the multiverse in a brilliant manner. In the sixth episode, Clark came clean to Jimmy and Lois about his secret identity as Superman, and the bond between the three friends grew stronger than ever. As the trio bids farewell to Mallah and Brain, Clark learns about the possibility of his connection with the covert operations spearheaded by the mysterious general. In Episode 7, Kiss Kiss Fall In Portal, the story takes a detour from the central narrative, and we explore the larger DC multiverse with the help of one of Superman’s classic enemies.

There are many teases and story setups from the DC TV shows making up the Arrowverse that will now never be addressed. The Arrowverse was an amazing creative achievement. Not only did the Arrowverse concept unify every superhero show on The CW network in a shared multiverse, but every live-action adaptation of a DC Comics property in film or television following the Crisis on Infinite Earths event.
Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic and changes in ownership at both The CW and Warner Bros killed the plans for the future of the Arrowverse. The promise of more-frequent crossovers and the introduction of more heroes into the Arrowverse canon went unfulfilled. With the Arrowverse setting effectively over after the final episode of The Flash season 9, it seems unlikely many of the proposed stories and cliffhangers will ever be resolved.

The end of The Flash came and went after nearly a decade on television. The Arrowverse series has been ambitious in its storytelling and visual effects, using fully CGI characters on a television budget. It also has heart, showing the main characters' capacity for love and compassion as a superpower. Yet the greatest gift The Flash gave DC Comics fans was the return of John Wesley Shipp -- the first actor to play Barry Allen in a regular TV series.
Rod Haase originally played The Flash in Legends of the Superheroes, two 1979 television comedy specials. The Flash debuted in 1990, featuring special effects that were state of the art at the time, but paled compared to CW standards. It was the actor in the super-suit who made the series live on long beyond its single season. Shipp was cast as Barry Allen, and it was on his performance to make the series work.

The Flash star Grant Gustin was recently shocked to learn that he made a cameo during the fourth and final season of HBO Max's Titans.
Ahead of The Flash's series finale, Gustin was interviewed by Entertainment Weekly about his decade-long tenure as the Scarlet Speedster. It was during this conversation when the actor shockingly learned that he had made a brief cameo in "Dude, Where's My Gar?," the ninth episode of Titans Season 4. "I did? When?" Gustin asked before his cameo was explained to him. With a laugh, Gustin remarked, "This is good. Don't cut this. It's old footage, obviously. Wow. That's really cool. I had no idea."
