Kj Apa hasn't closed the door on a possible return as Riverdale's Archie Andrews. The actor is open to reprising the role of America's favorite redhead, but only if a certain condition is met.
While speaking with Elite Daily to promote his new movie One Fast Move, Apa was asked if he'd ever be interested in appearing as Archie in his co-star Maia Reficco's Max series, Pretty Little Liars, which shares continuity with Riverdale. "100%, Id do it. I miss Riverdale. I miss everyone on that show. Not a day goes by where I dont think about it," Apa said, before adding that he'd only return if he didn't have to dye his hair red. "Id do it, but not if they dye my hair. I wouldnt dye my hair again," meaning that Apa would likely need to wear a wig to achieve Archie's iconic red hair.

One Fast Move features captivating bike racing scenes and talented actors who bring their roles to life. Despite negative reviews from critics, the film's action sequences and professional racing moments stand out. Kj Apa, Eric Dane, and Maia Reficco deliver strong performances in a story about family, love, and racing.
One Fast Move not only walks through several captivating bike racing scenes but also features performances from a talented group of actors who do an incredible job of portraying their respective roles. Directed by Kelly Blatz, One Fast Move premiered on Amazon Prime Video on August 8, 2024. After its release, the film mostly received negative from critics, holding a Rotten Tomatoes score of 20%. However, its audience reception was relatively better, allowing it to drive decent numbers on the streamer.

I don’t often consider myself a fan of racing movies as they can feel a bit samey. Every now and then something comes along that shows a little uniqueness, but they feel few and far between. While One Fast Move certainly isn’t breaking any new story ground, I was surprised at how much its focus is on the people and their relationships with each other versus simply racing. Don’t get me wrong, the racing is great when they actually show it. But the primary focus being the relationships formed versus simply the race itself helps to make the stakes feel more grounded. A lot easier to relate to estranged family members reconnecting than someone just being really competitive and wanting to win.
I was able to talk to stars Kj Apa, Eric Dane, Edward James Olmos and Maia Reficco about the film and all of the stuntwork it entailed.

Wes and Dean's tumultuous relationship in One Fast Move leads to a bittersweet reconciliation in the final race. Dean's past mistakes and fears drive his actions towards Wes, ultimately culminating in a moment of redemption at the end. Wes' motivation to train under Dean stems from a desire to know his father, leading to a journey of healing and understanding.
After walking through a series of gripping bike races and some family drama, Prime Video's One Fast Move ends on a positive note. Directed by Kelly Blatz, One Fast Move's opening arc introduces Kj Apa's Wes Neal, who gets arrested for racing on the streets. After being released from prison, he sets out to resolve some of his past issues by reuniting with his father, hoping that he will take him under his wing and teach him to race professionally.

Kelly Blatz takes the reins as both writer and director for the motorcycle racing drama One Fast Move. Steering a cast of K.J. Apa and Eric Dane into the fast lane, the film follows former soldier Wes Neal as he searches for purpose on the open road. Wes finds himself drawn to the high-octane world of competitive racing, following in the footsteps of his estranged father, Dean Miller. Yet what appears to be a tale of father-son bonds and championship dreams quickly loses its way.
While Blatz shows a flair for vividly portraying the athleticism of the sport, his characters struggle to leave the pits. From its outset, One Fast Move seems poised to explore the complex relationships and gritty reality that lie beneath a streamlined surface. But the script neglects the deeper development of its people and their perspectives. Generic training scenes and formulaic conflict replace meaningful insight. Wes and Dean remain largely one-dimensional,...

One Fast Move is an example of young adult star-driven streaming cinema, a recycled effort of substandard films from a generation before. The K.J. Apa vehicle is tweaked just enough to look and feel different, but unless you are a dedicated cinephile—or a diehard fan of the genre of motorcycle films—you won’t recognize it.
No, One Fast Move is far from the original. It’s a direct rip-off of a series of biker films made over twenty years ago, like Torque, Supercross, and, of course, the infamous Laurence Fishburne film Biker Boyz. All of these films had howling plots, trying to create a The Fast & the Furious franchise of motorcycle films filled with murder and infidelity.
