Dange begins with a promising scene when a sloshed Zeel (Harshvardhan Rane) rushes to present his paper the 4th time, with great help from his friends but fails to make it even after standing in front of the professors due to his imbalanced mental condition.

Dange is primarily about Zeel and Yuva (Ehan Bhat) who were best (childhood) friends but one incidence sours their friendship; Yuva faces molestation and humiliation for which he blames Zeel, now his senior in the college. Yuva is deeply affected by the incident. There is also Gayatri (T J Bhanu) seeking justice for a young Dalit student who was raped and impregnated. Can violence ever be humorous? It can, if you are Quentin Tarantino or Guy Ritchie, or nearer home Sriram Raghavan or Raj-dk, the duo that sticks its neck out so far, you fear for their hair.

Guns & Gulaabs (probably a tilt of the protagonist Tipu’s topi to the rock band Guns & Roses) is set around the 1970s and 80s in a lawless town named Gulaabganj, adjoining the town Sherganj . Just when you thought there would be a Romeo and Juliet from the two warring towns , we are told there is a lovelorn Romeo, Tipu played by the irresistibly goofy Rajkummar Rao who pines for a school teacher Lekha on a mo’ped(T J Bhanu).

Now Tipu is no Sultan of romance. Fuck, he can’t even write! So he gets a prim and propah schoolboy who listens to love songs by Aerosmith...

Actor Dulquer Salmaan, who is all set for the release of his action thriller film ‘King of Kotha’, shared his excitement as the trailer of the movie was played at New York’s Times Square, saying it’s a biggest tribute to Malayalam cinema.

‘King of Kotha’, Dulquer’s all-time high budget film, is produced by Wayfarer Films and Zee Studios and tells the story of two eras. It is the directorial debut of Abhilash Joshiy.

New Delhi, August 2 (Ians) Actors Rajkummar Rao, Gulshan Devaiah and Dulquer Salmaan’s upcoming series ‘Gun & Gulaabs’ has everything that one witnessed in the 1990s.

Introduced as ‘Guns & Gulaabs’, namcheen gangsters ki kahaani, the trailer is loaded with dialogue delivery harping on adjectives, larger than life action and sprinkled with humour, will release on Netflix on August 18.

The trailer received whistles when Rajkummar’s character Paana Tipu says: “Hilne ki koshish ki toh tere ando ka omelette bana dunga.”

The over two minute long trailer showcased pop cultures references, guns and goons, retro references.

Mumbai, July 25 (Ians) Actor Gulshan Devaiah’s look from the upcoming streaming giant Netflix’s series ‘Guns and Gulaabs’ deeply inspired from Sanjay Dutt’s look in the 90s.

An insider from the production said: “The series is set in the 90s and the Sanjay Dutt craze was at its peak during that time and many people started adapting that.”

“The team thought about what better way to capture the 90s than that look. It was actually Gulshan who suggested this idea and was quite keen to carry that look too. He made it seem very natural.”

Actors Gulshan Devaiah and Rajkummar Rao have reunited, this time for a web series. The critically acclaimed actors will be working together for the third time with Raj and Dk’s streaming series ‘Guns & Gulaabs’. Gulshan has lauded his co-actor saying that Raj is a flag-bearer for the actors of his generation.

The two actors were first seen together in the 2011 film ‘Shaitan’, where Gulshan played one of the leads and Rajkummar portrayed the character of a corrupt cop.

Gulshan said: “His craft and career are benchmarks for us and he’s an inspiration for all. I have immense respect and admiration for Raj, he’s a flag bearer of sorts for a generation of actors.
