Both parents were teachers at a deaf school so she learned to sign before she could talk.

Started out as a double major in college with pre-med and music performance but her passion for the film industry led her to a degree in music industry.

Studied German, French, and Russian.

Was a cheerleader in high school.

Is adopted. Has two younger sisters in the U.S. and two older biological sisters and a brother still in Korea.

Is a concert violinist. Also plays viola and piano professionally.

Has black belts in Taekwondo (3rd degree), Hapkido (2nd degree), and Kigumdo and trains in weapons.

Did an internship in high school where she studied the Equine and Bovine anemia viruses for AIDS and Cancer research. Has published articles in scientific journals.

Was a member of the National Honor Society in high school.
