Kim D'Eon
Kim was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and lives in Toronto. She holds an honours degree in journalism.

Kim began her national broadcasting career with the CBC at the award-winning youth consumer show, Street Cents. While there, she earned a Gemini nomination and helped the show win over the 3 Geminis and an International Emmy for Best Youth Show. Following that success, Kim contributed to other high-profile, national CBC programs including Marketplace, CBC Newsworld and later, The Hour (with George Stroumboulopoulos).

Entering the world of entertainment journalism in 2005 as senior reporter for Entertainment Tonight Canada was a thrilling shift for Kim. She has interviewed some of the most influential actors in the industry including: Angelina Jolie, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Aniston, Denzel Washington and music icons like Ringo Starr, Mariah Carey, The Beastie Boys, Janet Jackson, Beyonce, and Justin Timberlake. Her wit and authenticity create an instant rapport with anyone she interviews.

Kim has covered the most glamorous events in Hollywood including the Golden Globes, the Screen Actor's Guild Awards and the Grammy's (live). She also covered Michael Jackson's death and Memorial for Entertainment Tonight Canada and Global News across Canada.

Her various television assignments have taken her around the world to places like: Hawaii, Greece, Bora Bora, Rio De Janeiro, Nunavut, Kenya and Swaziland. She has hosted various ET Canada specials abroad including The Canadian Tenors in Africa, the 2010 Food Network Chef Challenge in the Dominican Republic, The 2011 Cannes Film Festival and, most recently, The Queen's Diamond Jubilee in London, England.

Kim became part of the Food Network Canada family as host of Family Cook Off - a fast-paced cooking competition between Canadian families.

Outside of her work on TV, Kim has donated her time to bringing awareness to many charitable causes including Heart and Stroke and the Diabetes Association of Canada. She is also an Ambassador of Change for CARE Canada, an organization that aims to empower women and girls around the world.

[on 'Family Cook Off'] It's a fun change of gears. I get to be more of myself in this. It takes me back to the CBC days working on a youth show. I was goofy and I was around family and kids. My favorite moments are at the end of each episode. Winners or not, everyone hugs.
