Emlyn John is a cinematographer, editor and director, known for the short film Flee (2019) as well as his work in Ip Boy: The Legend Begins (2018) and Ardin and Barray (2018), which he also acted in. He is the founder of independent production company Foul Play Films alongside his brother Arden John, his longstanding collaborator. Born in Canada, raised in the Netherlands and now living in the UK, his aim is to make films across genres that will have international appeal.
