Raven Banner Entertainment has revealed the poster for Love Is the Monster designed by Creepy Duck Design, via Deadline.

Inspired by Finnish mythology, the folk horror film follows troubled couples to Finland for a transformative retreat, where they fall prey to a sinister cult seeking to resurrect an ancient goddess of love.

According to executive producer Dean English, Warrior Nun is getting a second chance in the form of a trilogy of movies.

Starring Alba Baptista, Kristina Tonteri-Young, Lorena Andrea, Toya Turner, Tristán Ulloa, Thekla Reuten, Sylvia De Fanti, and William Miller, Warrior Nun is based on the graphic novel by Ben Dunn. The supernatural series follows a young woman who wakes up to find herself fighting demons as part of a secret organization.

The drama series was cancelled last December after a two-season run on Netflix. In June, series creator and showrunner Simon Barry revealed that the series was being revived, but he didn’t release any details.

In June, series creator and showrunner Simon Barry announced a resurrection thanks to passionate fan fervor and demands. Today it was announced that “Warrior Nun” will continue in movie trilogy form.

THR reports that executive producer Dean English confirmed the “Warrior Nun” movie trilogy via YouTube. English stated, “I am very happy to announce that Warrior Nun is coming back as a trilogy of motion pictures. Once again, a trilogy of feature films. Three.”

Executive producer Dean English shared that the canceled Netflix drama will return as a trilogy of movies.

"I am very happy to announce that Warrior Nun is coming back as a trilogy of motion pictures," he shared in a statement.

English couldn't delve into the finer details of the deal due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

"Some may ask, 'Does this perhaps infer that there's going to be a universe being launched of Warrior Nun, which could expand into films and TV series following characters that we already know?'"

When shows are canceled, they rarely return, but series creator Simon Barry took to social media with a wild announcement:

A comeback for the show is officially in the works.

How? We're not quite sure, ad it might be the case that we won't hear more until a deal is reached.

Six months after the fantasy series’ Netflix cancellation, creator and showrunner Simon Barry tweeted on Wednesday morning that because of the fans’ “combined voices, passion and amazing efforts,” an “epic” “return” is now afoot.

Fans of Netflix’s “Warrior Nun” have finally gotten what they wanted, it appears. After months of dedicated campaigning, series showrunner Simon Barry tweeted that the fantasy drama would be returning.

“Today I’m happy to officially report that because of your combined voices, passion and amazing efforts – #WarriorNun will return and is going to be more Epic than you could imagine,” Barry’s tweet read. He also teased that more details would be coming.

Amy Berg, who wrote three episodes of the series, confirmed Barry’s news, telling her followers, “Barry wasn’t hacked.”

When shows get cancelled by one network, they often have a chance to find a new home. Sometimes it doesn’t work out (I was surprised The Winchesters wasn’t able to find a new home after being cancelled by The CW), sometimes it does… And apparently Warrior Nun, a live-action series loosely based on Ben Dunn’s manga-style comic book Warrior Nun Areala, is one of the success stories. It was announced back in December that Warrior Nun had been cancelled after two seasons on the Netflix streaming service, but now series creator Simon Barry has revealed that season 3 is going to happen – and he says it’s going to be an epic revival!

Barry shared the news on Twitter, saying, “Today I’m happy to officially report that because of your combined voices, passion and amazing efforts – #WarriorNun will return and is going to be more Epic than you could imagine.

One month after the second season of “Warrior Nun” debuted on Netflix last year, the streaming service opted not to renew the series for a third, we learned back in December.

This week, however, the “Warrior Nun” news is surprisingly good. It seems that due to a whole lot of fan demand, the cancelled Netflix series is getting a second chance at life.

Creator Simon Barry tweeted late last night, “Today I’m happy to officially report that because of your combined voices, passion and amazing efforts – #WarriorNun will return and is going to be more Epic than you could imagine. More details to come! Soon! Thank-you!!”

Does this mean “Warrior Nun” Season 3 will be airing on Netflix, or has another network/streamer picked up the show? We don’t have any details at this time. Stay tuned.

The series starring Portuguese actress Alba Baptista had in its short run developed a passionate fanbase online, and the show’s second season even spent three weeks on Netflix’s weekly Top 10 list for English-language TV, topping out at No. 5. “Warrior Nun” creator and showrunner Simon Barry tweeted Tuesday that the show would not return on Netflix, sparking the hashtag #SaveWarriorNun to trend on Twitter.

Netflix is parting ways with Warrior Nun.

Deadline reported Tuesday afternoon that the cult favorite has been canceled after two seasons.

The second season of the series launched on November 10, but there was a lack of promotion for the series, likely contributing to the lower-than-expected performance.

Netflix had several opportunities to promote the show, including at its Tudum Global Fan Event, but the streaming service elected to let the show slip under the radar.

As a result, Warrior Nun Season 2 spent just three weeks in the streamer's weekly Top 10 for English-language series, with #5 being the peak.

The series also showed up on the Nielsen Streaming Chart for the week of November 7, with 595 million minutes viewed, coming in ahead of The Handmaid's Tale, Andor, and The Watcher for that week.

The decision comes a little over a month after the fantasy action series debuted its second season, which dropped in its entirety on Netflix on Nov. 10. The series originally debuted on the streamer back in July 2020, with the second season being announced in August of that year.

“Warrior Nun” is based on the comic book character Warrior Nun Areala originally created by Ben Dunn. The series centers on Ava Silva, played by Ava Baptista. Silva finds herself pulled into the world of an ancient order of nuns known as the Order of the Cruciform Sword, who battle demons and other powerful forces on Earth, after an ancient artifact is embedded in her back.
