Biography

Tan Li Yang is Malaysian actor who has participated in many films, TV dramas and stage plays. He is also the host for several events and program, script translator, group leader of the famous local choir called Lavoce, the assistant teacher of the school drama class.

Li Yang has own shine, fresh and unique literary temperament, natural and tense performance made him successfully win the Best Newcomer Award at the 11th Asli Drama Award (ADA), which caused a great influence and attention in art and entertainment industry. In 2015, he was invited to act as the leading actor in the local art film "Hold Me Tight", and come across the border officially became a film and television actor. He also participating in a number of large scale international film and television works that filmed in Malaysia.

In 2018, he was nominated as the Best Actor and two Best Supporting actor for the 15th Malaysia Asli Drama Award (ADA) with his superb performance in the stage play "Peking Man", and finally won the Best Supporting Actor. He is the only actor to be shortlisted for three actor awards at the same time in ADA so far.

Li Yang has worked with some famous and talented directors and artiste, they are Clifton Ko Chi-Sum (Hong Kong), Yuhan Wu (China), Adrian The (Malaysia), Datuk Dr. Faridah Merican (Malaysia), Dr. Deric Gan (Malaysia), Chan Wai Cheong (Malaysia) etc.
