Tuhin is a writer-filmmaker based in Mumbai. His feature screenplay 'Scorched' was a Finalist at the WeScreenplay Diverse Voices Lab 2023 and Second Rounder at the Sundance Development Track 2023 and Austin Film Festival 2022. Tuhin has written and directed short films that have screened and won awards at film festivals such as New York Indian Film Festival, International Film Festival of South Asia Toronto, KASHISH Mumbai International Queer Film Festival, LGBTQ Marseilles Film Festival, Habitat Film Festival, and Mumbai Film Festival. Tuhin's one-act play 'There Stands Another' centered around child sexual abuse was awarded the Grand Jury Prize by the Sahitya Kala Parishad (Academy of Performing and Fine Arts), New Delhi in 2017. He also has experience from freelancing in the Mumbai film industry as a co-writer, writing assistant, director's assistant and assistant director on films, web series and commercials. Tuhin studied screenwriting at UCLA School of Theatre, Film and Television, and film directing at Whistling Woods International, Mumbai.
