Allen Huntspon

Allen Huntspon is a two-time Emmy®-nominated Executive Producer and Director, a two-time Peabody Award-winning journalist, and a James Beard Award nominee, known for his work as a producer and creative strategist in streaming, digital media, and cable TV. He is an alumnus of Morehouse College and a proud native of Monterey, California. As CEO of One Story Media Group, a Certified Minority Business Enterprise, his mission is to change the world one story at a time. In 2007, Allen began his television career in live broadcast news at CNN's Larry King Live, before moving into documentary filmmaking with CNN's acclaimed documentary unit. Soon after, he took on a writer-producer role for CNN's live global news coverage, writing anchor scripts for the majority of CNN's on-air talent. Allen has worked with groundbreaking media companies, including VICE Media, Hoorae Media, CAA, Universal Pictures, ATTN:, YouTube Originals, BET, and Tastemade Studios. His most recent release is the Daytime Emmy®-nominated and James Beard Award-nominated Street Somm (2024). He has received awards from the New York Association of Black Journalists, Global Entertainment Marketing Academy, and the Shorty Awards. Additionally, he has been nominated for the News & Documentary Emmy® Awards, GLAAD Media Awards, the Streamy Brand Awards, and has also been recognized by the BeyGOOD Foundation.
