Travis Land is an actor, writer, film editor and novelist based in Southern California. A native of rural Iowa, Travis joined the Marine Corps at age 18, which lead him to San Diego where he's made his home for over 25 years.
Travis came to acting late in life, when at age 41, he was inspired by a friend to "take a few classes." The main purpose was to make a trailer to shop a film. Those "few classes" turned into a near-obsessive pursuit of acting and filmmaking.
Travis has since written and starred in the pilot for Cyclone Country, has written three feature films, Screens, On Deaf Ears, and a film scheduled for a major streaming service in 2023. He recently wrote and directed the pilot for the comedy series "Alyse on Life," and finished the short film Flight to Brazil, in which he co-starred and acted as director of photography.
A new web series, Travis Land's Shorts started in production in August of 2022, and the remaining episodes of Cyclone Country are scheduled to film in 2023.
Travis lives in North San Diego county with his crested gecko, Kota.
