Image
Katy Perry is ready to tuck into Season 17 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” now that MTV has released the star-studded list of extra special guest judges — and the trailer!

As seen in the Thursday teaser, joining the pop superstar in early 2025 will be Quinta Brunson, Sandra Bernhard, Paul W. Downs, Tracee Ellis Ross, Doechii, June Diane Raphael, Hunter Schafer, Jerrod Carmichael, Whitney Cummings, Julia Schlaepfer and Sam Smith, while Law Roach, Adam Lambert, Betsey Johnson and Jamal Sims are all returning to the mainstage as well.

Additionally, the “Rpdr” trailer also reveals the rules for the new twist, The Badonka Dunk Tank (which explains the wet promo theme). Once a queen is asked to sashay away after losing their lip sync, they’ll have the chance to pull one of 10 levers at random. If they successfully pick one of the two that result in Michelle Visage getting drenched in water, they...

RuPaul's Drag Race: Drag Families With Multiple Members On The Show
Image
Drag families play a crucial role in drag culture, and many appear on RuPaul's Drag Race, allowing fans to compare contestants to their drag family members. Some hauses, such as Haus Montrese and Haus of Methyd, have been well-represented on the show, with both members making it to the season finale. The Haus of Davenport and Haus of Edwards are among the most prominent drag families on Drag Race, known for their talented dancers and big personalities.

Drag families are an essential part of drag culture, and many families have been featured on RuPaul's Drag Race. A haus defines a queen's drag style, which fans can see on the show and compare the contestants to their drag family members. Drag houses are usually complicated and span over decades, but some Ru girls are in hauses just getting their empires started.

While there have been many hauses featured on RuPaul's Drag Race,...

‘The Pit Stop’ for ‘Drag Race 15’ episode 14: Bianca and Raja sit down for recap of ‘Blame It on the Edit’
Image
Each week on “The Pit Stop,” Bianca Del Rio recaps the latest episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 15 alongside a guest host. Following Friday’s fourteenth episode, season 3 winner, former “Pit Stop” host, and All Stars 7 consolation winner Raja stops by to “cut up” just before the “Grand Finale” in two weeks. Watch the full episode above via the official RuPaul’s Drag Race channel on YouTube.

In their recap of episode 14, Raja and Bianca agree that Anetra is a threat to Sasha Colby‘s chance at winning. Raja goes as far to say that Anetra is Sasha’s “only threat.” Despite seeing them as the only ones with a chance to win, Raja says that they are a great final four because they’re “very all powerful in their own way” because of their abilities and stories. Sprinkled throughout the episode, Bianca gets Raja to share some of her memories...

‘The Pit Stop’ for ‘Drag Race 15’ episode 13: Bianca and Naomi Smalls sit down for recap of ‘Teacher Makeovers’
Image
Each week on “The Pit Stop,” Bianca Del Rio recaps the latest episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 15 alongside a guest host. Following Friday’s thirteenth episode, Naomi Smalls returns to the recap show as a two-time makeover challenge winner herself. Watch the full episode above via the official RuPaul’s Drag Race channel on YouTube.

In their recap of episode 13, both Naomi and Bianca say that they expected one of the twins to make the top five instead of the five that actually made it to this episode. Naomi said that Sugar is great at comedic timing, but Spice is more polished in her looks and so either could have been the one to make it this far. Like other queens before her, Naomi also took offense to queens like Luxx Noir London and Loosey Laduca being so pressed about their placements, especially Loosey trying to count mini challenge wins in her record.

‘The Pit Stop’ for ‘Drag Race 15’ episode 12: Bianca and Laganja Estranja sit down for recap of ‘Wigloose: The Rusical!’
Image
Each week on “The Pit Stop,” Bianca Del Rio recaps the latest episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 15 alongside a guest host. Following Friday’s twelfth episode, Laganja Estranja and Bianca start a rumor about a never-aired lip sync between the two of them on season 6, among other things. Watch the full episode above via the official RuPaul’s Drag Race channel on YouTube.

In their recap of episode 12, Laganja names Mistress Isabelle Brooks and Luxx Noir London as her two faves of the season, though she likes all of the top six. Bianca liked that for once her guest didn’t name Sasha Colby as her favorite, though admittedly they both are rooting for her. One thing Laganja and Bianca are tired of hearing from the girls is their “in my __ era” tag line that they say has been run in to the ground by this point. On that topic,...

‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’: Was the right queen eliminated in episode 4 ‘Trump: The Rusical’? [Poll]
On the fourth episode of season 11 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” Mercedes Iman Diamond was eliminated. Did you think she was the right choice to go this week after her performance in the Lip Sync For Your Life or should Ra’Jah O’Hara have been sent packing? Vote in our poll below and be sure to sound off in the comments section with your thoughts on episode 4, “Trump: The Rusical,” which aired March 21 on VH1.

Mercedes and Ra’Jah ended up in the bottom two after failing to impress RuPaul Charles, guest judges Tiffany Pollard and Joel McHale, and regular panellists Ross Mathews and Michelle Visage throughout the fourth series of competitions. That meant they were pitted against each other in the Lsfyl. Each had to perform to the James Brown classic “Living in America.”

In the end, RuPaul opted to throw a lifeline to Dallas darling Ra’Jah who,...

Drag Race Recap: Which Orange Queen Lacked a Certain Appeal?
RuPaul
Fresh off last week’s embarrassing six-way lip sync battle, the ladies of RuPaul’s Drag Race decided on Thursday that they were really going to start trying from now on. No more tucking around!

Unfortunately, not everyone was able to keep that promise, as seen in this week’s disastrous mini challenge Why You Maddow Tho? The assignment was simple: dress up like MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow (cheap jacket and all!) and read a series of breaking news reports from a teleprompter. Yet “simple” proved too much for some queens, like poor Silky Nutmeg Ganache, who struggled with the...

‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’: Was the right queen eliminated in episode 3 ‘Diva Worship’? [Poll]
On the third episode of season 11 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” Honey Davenport was eliminated. Did you think she was the right choice to go this week after her performance in the Lip Sync For Your Life or should Shuga Cain have been sent packing? Vote in our poll below and be sure to sound off in the comments section with your thoughts on episode 3, “Diva Worship,” which aired March 14 on VH1.

Honey and Shuga ended up in the bottom two after failing to impress RuPaul Charles, guest judges Guillermo Díaz and Troye Sivan, and regular panellists Ross Mathews and Michelle Visage throughout the third series of competitions. That meant they were pitted against each other, along with the rest of Team Mariah, in the Lsfyl. All half dozen girls performed to “Waiting for Tonight (Hex Hector Mix)” by Jennifer Lopez.

Of the six strutting their stuff, the judges singled...

‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ 11 episode 3 recap: Which queen didn’t have a prayer on ‘Diva Worship’? [Updating Live Blog]
In the all-new episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” on March 13, the lucky 13 remaining queens were tasked with taking part in spoofs of talk shows. Which contestant came out on top and was the winner of this challenge on episode 3 of season 11? And were Gold Derby’s predictions correct that Mercedes Iman Diamond would be eliminated this week?

In episode 2, Mercedes came perilously close to being bounced but Kahanna Montrese went home instead. Both had to strut their stuff to “Work Bitch” by Britney Spears. Kahanna, a 25-year-old showgirl from the entertainment capital of the world, Las Vegas, counted some missteps among her moves. Mercedes, a 30 year-old from Minneapolis, outpaced her with a high octane routine.

Below, check out our minute-by-minute recap of season 11 episode 3, titled “Diva Worship,” to find out what happened Thursday night. Then be sure to sound off in the comments section about your favorite queens and...
