Originally from the South Side of Chicago, Van discovered his connection to acting when CO-Producing a short film. Shortly thereafter he found himself in L.A., landing roles in the award winning The Day Before and Blue and Green. He has worked with David Mamet, opposite Dennis Haysbert on the popular television series, the UNIT, depicting the recurring and unyielding Agent Doug White. Van has been recognized by Directors and peers alike for his unforced portrayal of characters and his conviction to the moment telegraphed by his eyes.
