Geena Hernandez is a writer, director, and producer from South Florida. Her films are fantastical, saturated, genre-defying coming of age stories that blend heart with hilarity. She is a recipient of the 2021 W.A.V.E Grant and her films have premiered at festivals such as Fantastic Fest, Panic Fest, HBO/WarnerMedia's NY Latino Film Festival, and Outfest Fusion. Geena is a graduate of Florida State University's College of Motion Arts and recipient of the Bold Reach Award. She has worked as the assistant to the producers of Atlanta (FX) and The Walking Dead (AMC). In 2022, Morbidly Beautiful wrote "filmmaker Geena Hernandez is one to watch."
