Nick Mercer was born in Huddersfield and trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. In addition to screen work, as a voice artist he has worked extensively for BBC Radio both as an actor and presenter, narrated many audio books and voiced multiple characters in TV animations. He played Timon in Disney's The Lion King over a 17 year period, in the West End for 6 years, and also in Switzerland for a year and touring worldwide.
