When the charming son of Moreau’s patron, Eduardo, arrives at their estate, he threatens to upend the long-simmering feelings between Carlota and the estate’s overseer, Montgomery Laughton, and causes Carlota to question everything she’s been told — forcing her to reckon with some dark truths about her father and his work.

Bandidos Season 2’s ending was centered around the titular group trying to retrieve a precious jewel called the Tear of Fire from the clutches of Regina. Why? Well, the story goes something like this. Lili, whose original name was Carlota, was Regina’s stepsister, and the former had killed Regina’s biological father and gone on the run. After discovering her whereabouts, Regina compelled Lili to use her friends to get the Tear of Fire as a form of reparation. Fearing for their lives, Lili, Miguel, Octavio, Ines, Lucas, and Citlali spent the entire show searching, failing, and then searching some more for this fabled treasure. When they eventually got to the cave that housed the costly piece of stone, Regina, Ariel, Pepa (the gangster who belonged to the Mayan tribe that was the rightful owner of the Tear of Fire), and the landowner whose wife had cheated on him...

Longtime fans of Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal know the magic that happens when these two Mexican actors, childhood friends and longtime collaborators get together on screen. From the sexy road trip adventure of “Y Tu Mamá También” to the heartwarming soccer-centric “Rudo y Cursi” and even the slapstick “Casa de Mi Padre,” the duo brings the best out of each other. So it’s not surprising that Hulu placed their bets on the pair to help them produce their first ever Spanish-language original series to debut during Hispanic Heritage Month.
“La Máquina,” a limited-series about an aging boxer’s comeback with a criminal underworld twist, starts out delivering on that premise. But what you get extends far beyond that.
The show opens in flashy, fast-paced Vegas, minutes before fight night. Saúl (Andrés Delgado) rushes from casino to casino in a frantic search for a bottle of Fresquita-brand tamarind...

Hulu’s boxing series La Máquina begins not with glimpses of in-ring action, but with the drama taking place immediately around it. The camera whips through the crowds of entertainers, security guards, and personnel found backstage, all desperately trying to get things in order before the lights go down and the entrance music for the fight plays.
Eventually, we’re brought to the main man himself, Esteban “La Máquina” Osuna (Gael García Bernal), a veteran boxer known for his grit and determination. La Máquina carries itself with the same relentless energy: From the movements of the camera to the colors and the outsized personalities of the characters themselves, everything about it is vibrant and alive.
Esteban looks the part of the perfect prizefighter, though his hair is graying around the temples. He has the slightly gawky, boyish charm you find in many top athletes, perhaps the result of a life...

Green Day‘s music has been banned from two Las Vegas radio stations after Billie Joe Armstrong called the city “the worst shithole in America.”
Armstrong’s comments stemmed from his beloved Oakland Athletics’ upcoming move to the Sin City. Like many, Armstrong is incensed about his hometown MLB team’s unceremonious relocation to Las Vegas and owner John Fisher’s apparent disregard for the team’s deeply loyal fanbase. The A’s just played their final game at the Oakland Coliseum this past Thursday (September 26th) in front of a sell-out crowd, ending a 57-year run in the Bay Area despite fans’ ongoing pleas for Fisher to “Sell the Team.”
Armstrong put in his two cents on the matter during Green Day’s concert at Oracle Park in San Francisco on September 20th.
“We don’t take shit from people like fucking John Fisher,” Armstrong said on stage, [via Kron 4] before adding: “I hate Las Vegas.
