However, in 2025, the show will have a new secondary home.
Here is where Jeopardy! is aring in 2025.

Jeopardy! is getting a new second home in 2025 as the show returns to the Game Show Network (Gsn) for reruns of the Ken Jennings-hosted episodes of Season 39. This includes the super champion runs of Cris Pannullo and Ray Lalonde. The Gsn Instagram page made the announcement on Monday (December 23), writing, “The newest addition to the Game Show Network line up? What is… @jeopardy! Jeopardy! with Ken Jennings starting Monday January 13 at 9p on Game Show Network!” This marks the first time Jeopardy! will air regularly on Gsn since 2013, when they aired reruns of Season 25 — the network did air a selection of Jeopardy! episodes in November 2020 in tribute to the late Alex Trebek. The reruns will air on weekdays at 9 pm, with two episodes per day, replacing Wheel of Fortune reruns (Wheel will move to 2 pm). Interestingly, the announcement only mentions Ken Jennings, suggesting the Mayim Bialik episodes will be skipped.

A Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions winner has come forward to talk about his experience on the game show. Yogesh Raut claims that his win was due, in part, to the bad luck of his fellow competitors. As the ToC re-airs on television, many viewers can see why he’d say that. Keep reading to see what the former champ had to say.
Former Jeopardy! ToC Winner Speaks About Luck
Jeopardy! is currently on hiatus and airing re-runs of previous episodes. Right now, they are running through last year’s Tournament of Champions. Fans may remember that there was a series of upsets during the opening round of the ToC. It all came down to Yogesh, Ben Chan, and Troy Meyer.

A clue that led to Cris Pannullo’s surprise defeat in the Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions has fans “mega” upset. In the tournament’s quarterfinal game that aired on February 26, a Jeopardy! round cue in the “Memory” category read: In comparing computer memory info, think before you give us this, the number of megabytes in a gigabyte. Pannullo lost $1,000 with a response of “1,000,” while competitor Jared Watson won a grand by responding with “1,024.” Now fans are criticizing the game show’s writers for what one Reddit user called a “poorly worded clue.” Yo @jeopardy I'ma need you to read this:https://t.co/x6x9auCYR1 A gigabyte can be either 1000 or 1024 megabytes; there are multiple competing standards. — It's Covarr It's Covarr It's Covarr It's Covarr (@ItsCovarr) February 27, 2024 “Technically,” another Reddit user wrote, “[Pannullo and Watson] are both correct. Jeopardy!‘s chaotic Tournament of Champions has its semifinalists after Wednesday’s (March 6) last quarterfinal game, which saw Troy Meyer cement himself as the potential new frontrunner. Meyer, a music executive and professional quizzer from Tampa, Florida, who won six games during Season 39, returned to the Alex Trebek Stage with a point to prove. He was up against Sean McShane, a tour guide from South Boston, Massachusetts, and Deb Bilodeau, a restaurant server from San Francisco, California. While other favorites like Cris Pannullo, Hannah Wilson, and Juveria Zaheer were knocked out of the competition early, Meyer lived up to expectations with a dominant performance. Meyer took an early lead in the first round, answering 14 clues correctly and amassing $7,000. He then leveled up in Double Jeopardy, finding and successfully answering both Daily Doubles, which put him in a runaway position with more than a third of the round still to play.

Order has been restored to Jeopardy!‘s 2024 Tournament of Champions thanks to fan favorite Ben Chan, who won Tuesday night’s (March 5) episode in dominant fashion. Chan, who won nine consecutive games in Season 39 before a controversial wrong-letter ruling knocked him out, entered the Toc as one of the front-runners. However, so far, this has been a cursed competition for the favorites, turning into the Tournament of Death with Cris Pannullo, Hannah Wilson, Juveria Zaheer, and Ray Lalonde all losing their quarter-final games. The philosophy professor from Green Bay, Wisconsin, broke the curse on Tuesday as he faced off against Emmett Stanton, a freelance writer from Baltimore, Maryland, and Justin Bolsen, a public policy economics student at Brown University from Canton, Georgia, who won last year’s High School Reunion Tournament. Chan set the pace right from the off when he clinched a true Daily Double and took an early lead with six correct clues.

While most Jeopardy! fans are enjoying the tense and often surprising 2024 Tournament of Champions, some conservative viewers are losing their minds over a recent ‘pronouns’ puzzle. On Monday’s (February 26) episode, Season 39 super-champ Cris Pannullo selected the $600 puzzle under the “Speech! Parts of Speech!” category. The clue read, “Xem, Xyrs, Xemself,” to which Pannullo correctly answered, “What are pronouns?” “Those are pronouns,” host Ken Jennings confirmed, adding more specifically, “Neopronouns.” For those unfamiliar, xem/xyrs/xemself are gender-neutral pronouns that have recently grown in popularity. In fact, the social media app Instagram lets users apply pronoun and neopronoun options, including she, her, hers, he, him, his, they, them, thon, thons, hir, ze, zir, zie, xe, xem, xyr, and many more. Jeopardy!‘s 2024 Tournament of Champions continued to deliver surprises on Tuesday night (February 27) as Season 39 super-champ and fan favorite Hannah Wilson was knocked out of the competition. Wilson’s elimination marked two back-to-back shockers, as 21-game winner and front-runner Cris Pannullo was defeated on Monday (February 26), bringing a premature end to his Toc journey. Tuesday’s game saw Wilson, a puzzle designer from Chicago, Illinois, up against David Sibley, an Episcopal priest from Walla Walla, Washington, and Yungsheng Wang, a deputy public defender originally from Lafayette, Louisiana. Sibley got out to an early lead, proving to be fast on the buzzer and answering 11 clues correctly in the first round. He also found and answered the game’s first Daily Double, even dropping a Salt n Peppa reference for good measure. Wilson fought back in Double Jeopardy and briefly took the lead after landing on a Daily Double and boosting her score.

Following vows by several recent champions to boycott the “Jeopardy!” Tournament of Champions if it takes place amid the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike, the show’s producers say they “never had any intention” of holding the annual contest “until the strike is resolved.
Furthermore, the show’s spokesperson said in a statement Tuesday, none of winners from the most recent season have even been contacted about participating.
The statement emphasized that the show has “a long history with and tremendous respect for the WGA and our writers,” and that “we would never air game material not created by WGA writers.” The statement also emphasized that it operates in compliance with SAG-AFTRA.
Instead, the statement says, the show will go into “a holding pattern,” postponing the Season 39 Tournament of Champions and instead producing new original episodes using material that was written before WGA went on strike. More details will be announced in August.

Several “Jeopardy!” champions have vowed to exit the game show’s annual tournament in solidarity with the ongoing WGA strike, which just entered into its 13th week.
As the syndicated competition series gears up for its 2023-2024 season, the writers’ strike has not only impacted planning for the upcoming installment but will also now prompt absences for former winners set to appear on this season’s Tournament of Champions.
Recent “Jeopardy!” champion and self-proclaimed “lifelong devoted fan” Ray Lalonde announced he would not to compete in the tournament should the WGA strike remain unresolved on social media, first pointing out reports that the game show has “contingency plans to start filming the next season of the show with old and/or recycled material.”

Current Jeopardy! champion Jake DeArruda is opening up about his experience on the show and how he knocked off super-champ Troy Meyer in last Friday’s (January 27) game. DeArruda, a delivery dispatcher from Ludlow, Vermont, shocked viewers on Friday’s episode when he beat fan favorite Meyer, who had amassed 214,802 during a seemingly unstoppable six-game winning streak. In a series of blog posts, DeArruda shared his thoughts on the game, along with his views on the show’s hosts and past players. Upon arriving at the studio for his pre-game prep, DeArruda said he found out the name of the current champion, Troy Meyer. He admitted that his “eyes widened” as he recognized the name from the rankings of the World Quizzing Championships and other online trivia games. “Long story short, Troy is a far superior pure trivia player than Cris Pannullo,” DeArruda said, referencing the reigning champion on the broadcast episodes at the time.

Ray Lalonde‘s winning streak came to an end Tuesday, January 3, after an impressive 13-game run and a winning total of 386,400, cementing his spot in the next Tournament of Champions 2023 and making him the latest in a recent flurry of Jeopardy! super-champs. A scenic artist from Toronto, Lalonde is the second-winningest Canadian contestant ever, placing behind Halifax, Nova Scotia native Mattea Roach, who last year won 23 straight games, putting her in fifth place for the longest streak in the show’s history. Both are among seven players to have won 10 or more games on the show in 2021 or 2022. Starting with Matt Amodio‘s 38-game winning streak in 2021, Jeopardy! has seen a conveyor belt of super-champs. Amodio’s record was soon broken by Tournament of Champions victor Amy Schneider, who racked up 40 consecutive wins in 2022, placing her second to Ken Jennings (74) on the all-time leaderboard. This was followed by Roach, Ryan Long...

By its very nature, trivia is somewhat random. What amounts to a trivial bit of knowledge could mean everything from the name of the third actor to play James Bond to the first five digits of pi after the widely known 3.14 (15926). Engaging in trivia means engaging with a broad range of information. How then, could one possibly even begin to prepare for the ultimate trivia contest?
Such is the struggle that contestants on the beloved American quiz show institution Jeopardy! constantly face. Ever since it premiered more than 58 years ago, Jeopardy! is the premier game show for nerds around the country. The syndicated program, hosted by the legendary Alex Trebek for much of its run, is a grueling crucible of question after question – 61 of them in fact – that are divided into different, seemingly random, categories from episode to episode.
Preparing for such an experience seems like it would be an impossible task.

Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings has revealed big news on social media regarding Tournament of Champions. Following the recent impressive winning streak of Cris Pannullo, who amassed 748,000 during his 21 games, Jennings took to Twitter to praise the professional poker player. “Wow. His 21-game streak puts Cris sixth on the all-time list,” Jennings wrote. “Next year’s Tournament of Champions getting interesting already…” This is big news for fans of Cris Pannullo and the show as it implies that another ToC will take place in 2023, which wasn’t a guarantee. Cris Pannullo‘s impressive 21-game winning streak on Jeopardy! has come to an end as he was beaten on Tuesday (December 6) night by professor Andy Tirrell in a nail-biting Final Jeopardy round. But for the show’s bosses it could be good news as the super-champ was busting their budget with his big winnings! The former professional poker player had amassed a massive 748K over the course of his 21 wins, giving him the 5th highest winnings in the game show’s history and its 6th longest streak. His victories were so decisive that the producers had started using the phrase “Pannullo’d” to describe contestants defeated by the South Jersey resident. However, during Tuesday’s game, Pannullo met his match in Tirrell, a political science and international relations professor from San Diego, California. The two traded wins throughout the episode, with Pannullo having a slight lead of 12,600 compared to Tirrell...

Classic movie fans were left astounded that all three contestants on Thursday’s episode of “Jeopardy!” failed to identify “Singin’ in the Rain” star Gene Kelly.
The late dance legend, who passed away in 1996, came up under the “Olivia Newton-John” category, but players Cris Pannullo, Rob Lamanna and Jeri Zulli all drew a blank when it came time to put a name to her costar in the ’80s musical “Xanadu.”
Host Ken Jennings moved right along to the next question, but movie Twitter had a field day.

Jeopardy!‘s latest super-champ from New Jersey, Cris Pannullo, just collected his 18th win on the show on November 30, but we also got some insight into the newfound legend’s taste in cinema. Before pushing his total cash winnings on the game show to 637,923, host Ken Jennings asked Pannullo what films he likes. “My favorite movie is Spaceballs. I’ve seen it more than all of the actual Star Wars movies combined, and that makes sense because it’s better than all of the actual Star Wars movies combined.” He also revealed that instead of using The Force during his time on the show, he’s actually been using The Schwartz to win all his matches. Jennings says it’s going well for him as Pannullo proceeds to secure his 18-win streak. Due to the recent trilogy’s previous release schedule (as well as its nostalgic Christmas special), Star Wars...

Jeopardy!‘s latest super-champ, Cris Pannullo, continued his winning streak on Tuesday, November 29, picking up his 17th consecutive victory after a closely-fought game. The New Jersey native banked another 44,000 on Tuesday’s episode after defeating healthcare administrator Matt Harvey and philanthropic advisor Sheila Anderson. Pannullo’s total winnings now stand at 610,344, putting him in fifth place for all-time regular-season earnings (and ninth if you include tournaments). Pannullo, a former poker pro and customer service operations manager, has also climbed to ninth place for the longest Jeopardy! winning streaks, surpassing fan-favorite Ryan Long, who won 16 games in a row earlier this year. However, he’s still a ways off the top spot held by Ken Jennings (74 wins) — today (November 30) is actually 18 years to the day since Jennings’ reign as Jeopardy! champion ended when he lost his 75th game to Nancy Zerg. Tuesday’s game was Pannullo’s toughest test yet, as...
