- Comic dance trio specialising in Egyptian routines: Jack Wilson (1894-1970), Joe Keppel (1895-1977) and Betty Knox (who was followed by a number of other Bettys, including her daughter Patsy). Wilson and Keppel appeared as a duo in some films.
- In 1936, they played the Wintergarten, Berlin. Their act was condemned as indecent by Dr. Joseph Goebbels because of the two men's bare legs.
- The first Betty left in 1941 to be a journalist with the US army and covered the Nuremberg war trials. There followed up to 11further Bettys the last being Jean McKinnon who joined in 1950 and was with them 10 years. Their sand dance routine called Cleopatra's Nightmare involved them carrying a cwt of deep sea sand with them when touring. They performed in 3 Royal Variety Shows in 1933, 1945 and1947.
