Renowned for his performance in the Shahid Kapoor-starrer ‘Farzi’, actor Bhuvan Arora on Thursday began the shoot for his next project, titled ‘Fissaddi’. The show will star ‘Adhura’ fame actor Poojan Chhabra, alongside Bhuvan.

The series will delve into the complexities of relationships and self-identity against the backdrop of brotherhood.

The makers took to social media, offering a glimpse into this exciting new project.

The post is captioned: “Charche hai from earth to moon… Fissaddi on your screens, coming soon!”

It will soon air on Amazon miniTV.

Actress Rasika Dugal, who is receiving a lot of positive response to her streaming show ‘Adhura’, feels that bullying, which is a prevalent issue in different societal settings, is difficult to identify and as a result it’s difficult to overcome for those who have experienced it.

‘Adhura’ captures the varying degrees of bullying to its traumatic and lasting impact. The horrors of bullying showcased in the series have led to a dialogue in the society around the subject of bullying. It starts from a school reunion which goes wrong only to unravel the deeper layers of the narrative.

Rasika Dugal, who portrays a school counsellor and helps the 10-year-old troubled Vedant Malik, found the themes extremely appealing.

Web Series Review | Adhura: Complex, layered, gives an immersive experience

We have reached a stage when genres such as horror and suspense thrillers have to be no-holds-barred. Or else, movie and Ott watchers couldn’t care less. Thankfully, though, the streaming platforms don’t seem to be following any diktat regarding self-control or moderation.

Not all of them are watchable, but it feels good to know that to an audience exposed to the best from around the world, at least some bold filmmakers are making all-out efforts to experiment with newer tactics in horror and suspense movies. In this case, web series.

Using state-of-the-art technology for graphics and storylines getting quirkier, many directors no longer follow the staid whodunit formula that made the Ramsays (in)famous in the 1970s.

Also, a series has enough time to develop and follow up on sub-plots, and add an extra dimension to characters for them to look believable.

Prime Video recently dropped the spine-chilling trailer of its first Hindi horror series ‘Adhura’, and it has managed to send shivers down the spine. The series stars Ishwak Singh, Shrenik Arora, Poojan Chabra and Rasika Dugal in pivotal roles. Interestingly, with Adhura, the Mirzapur fame actress Rasika too ventures into the realm of horror and suspense.
