Renowned for his performance in the Shahid Kapoor-starrer ‘Farzi’, actor Bhuvan Arora on Thursday began the shoot for his next project, titled ‘Fissaddi’. The show will star ‘Adhura’ fame actor Poojan Chhabra, alongside Bhuvan.

The series will delve into the complexities of relationships and self-identity against the backdrop of brotherhood.

The makers took to social media, offering a glimpse into this exciting new project.

The post is captioned: “Charche hai from earth to moon… Fissaddi on your screens, coming soon!”

It will soon air on Amazon miniTV.

Meanwhile, Bhuvan also has the Kartik Aaryan-starrer ‘Chandu Champion’ and the Tamil film ‘Amaran’ in the pipeline.

Actress Rasika Dugal, who is receiving a lot of positive response to her streaming show ‘Adhura’, feels that bullying, which is a prevalent issue in different societal settings, is difficult to identify and as a result it’s difficult to overcome for those who have experienced it.

‘Adhura’ captures the varying degrees of bullying to its traumatic and lasting impact. The horrors of bullying showcased in the series have led to a dialogue in the society around the subject of bullying. It starts from a school reunion which goes wrong only to unravel the deeper layers of the narrative.

Rasika Dugal, who portrays a school counsellor and helps the 10-year-old troubled Vedant Malik, found the themes extremely appealing.

She said, “I feel situations of bullying are hard to identify and hence very difficult to overcome. Very often people being bullied tend to internalise the problem. So it becomes even more important to talk about it.

Praising child actor Shrenik Arora, who has won hearts with his portrayal of Vedant Malik in horror series ‘Adhura’, director Gauravv Chawla called him ‘phenomenal’ and said he displayed a depth in his acting that surpassed expectations.

Shrenik plays a troubled 10-year old in a boarding school. His character barely has friends, and is seldom seen talking to his batchmates. Shrenik finds solace in his counsellor, Supriya Ma’am (Rasika Dugal), who is always around to protect him; and he also has an unexplained bond with Adhiraj Jaisingh (Ishwak Singh), a student from the batch of 2007, whom he’s never met before.

We have reached a stage when genres such as horror and suspense thrillers have to be no-holds-barred. Or else, movie and Ott watchers couldn’t care less. Thankfully, though, the streaming platforms don’t seem to be following any diktat regarding self-control or moderation.

Not all of them are watchable, but it feels good to know that to an audience exposed to the best from around the world, at least some bold filmmakers are making all-out efforts to experiment with newer tactics in horror and suspense movies. In this case, web series.

Ahead of the premiere of the Amazon Original, Rasika revealed that she used to get spooked every time she would go back to her room post the shoot of Adhura.

“The eerie atmosphere on set was unlike anything I’ve experienced before which spooked me every time I got back to the room after shooting. The suspenseful storyline and the immersive production design had a profound effect on me,” shared Rasika.

The actor further added, “As an actor, I pride myself on immersing myself into my characters, but Adhura took it to another level.
