8 Wrestlers With the Most Unsuccessful TV Careers
Image
Ever since the resurgence of WWE under the leadership of Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque, professional wrestling has become cool again. So, it is no wonder that professional wrestlers have seen a surge in popularity across the globe, to the point that mainstream media could not get enough of them.

While personalities like Dwayne ‘The Rock” Johnson, Dave Bautista, and now, John Cena have seen tremendous success in shows and films alike in recent years thanks to their wrestling careers, there was a time when pro wrestling ruled the world of television.

Back in the golden days of the 90s and early 2000s, the scene was even more passionate and widespread amongst the common populace. Thus, there were many wrestlers who wanted to cash in on their fame and recognition and transition to mainstream television. Unfortunately, these 8 pro wrestlers couldn’t make it in the big leagues as they did in the squared circle.

8 Times Real-Life Rivalry Made WWE Feuds Even Better
Image
WWE is hands-down the biggest name in the wrestling world, and a lot of its magic comes from the intense rivalries fans can’t stop talking about. Most of the time, those feuds are carefully scripted to deliver drama inside the ring, but every now and then, things get a little too real. Emotions run high, tempers flare, and suddenly, a storyline beef turns into an actual backstage feud.

Since it’s a full-contact sport, it’s not surprising that some wrestlers have clashed for real. Maybe someone got a little too rough during a match, or maybe a tweet hit the wrong nerve. Whatever sparks it, when the bad blood gets personal, it usually makes the on-screen story way more explosive and unforgettable.

Over the years, we’ve seen plenty of those legendary real-life rivalries, ones that blurred the line between fiction and reality and ended up creating pure gold for the fans.

This was most evident a decade back when he dropped his infamous “Pipebomb” promo.

For the record, Punk prefers to keep his record straight and be very vocal about his professional relationships. Now, it comes as no surprise that Cm Punk has been missing out on title opportunities since his return in 2023 and has expressed his dissatisfaction over it.

His potential was noticed by a heel Cena, offering him a shot at his title. The condition? A face-off at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia, a pure evil move from the champ.

5 Funniest R-Truth Moments We Will Cherish Forever After His WWE Release

WWE Draft 2025: 5 Raw Stars Who Should Leave the Brand For SmackDown
Image
In WWE, superstars often jump between Nxt, SmackDown, and Raw for different reasons. Sometimes, they switch brands to get a better spotlight; sometimes, it’s all about the storyline, starting a new feud, or adding some firepower to a brand.

Transfers usually happen during set windows, kind of like in other sports, but occasionally, they can go down outside of those periods, too. Championship belts move with wrestlers when they switch brands, which keeps things unpredictable. Transfer windows are always exciting for fans, it’s a chance to see unexpected rivalries and fresh matchups while giving wrestlers new opportunities to level up their careers.

Cm Punk Won’t Like What These WWE Stars Think About His UFC Career

Even though his career in the UFC did not turn out as he might have imagined, certain fans appreciated the bold transition he made to the fight promotion, however short it might have been.

But it looks like his colleagues in the WWE might not be appreciative of the stint he had in the UFC. So much so, they would place their bets on another WWE superstar who has no martial arts training experience. Vince McMahon Put John Cena in Lakers’ Jersey to Get Revenge on an NBA Team
Image
When we come to think of the shrewdest and most cunning businessmen, the name of Vincent Kennedy McMahon, more popularly known as Vince McMahon, is up there. Despite his legacy being tarnished over legal issues since 2024, it can’t be denied that he revolutionized the wrestling industry, becoming the biggest sports entertainment brand with his WWF/WWE.

Interestingly enough, over the years, there have been many instances where he has outright ascertained the claims of him being outright petty. From firing superstars for talking back to him to sacking big talents without hesitation, the Evil Genius’ ego is as big as it gets.

However, sometimes pettiness reaches new heights because Mr. McMahon wants to prove his point. This is how it went in 2009 when he made the LA Lakers and Denver Nuggets face off inside the ring after Raw was forced to move from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado.

14 Years Ago Today, John Cena Lived the Cringiest Moment of His WWE Career
Image
Fourteen years ago, WWE Extreme Rules 2011 was home to one of the more gloriously awkward moments ever in wrestling. Immediately after winning the WWE Championship, John Cena took the mic and proclaimed that Osama Bin Laden had been “compromised to a permanent end.”

With his all-American, never-say-die attitude, Cena made it sound like he’d personally executed a suplex on the Al-Qaeda leader. Intended to be an ecstatic patriotic high, the moment was pure cringe with a side of comedic gold, and fans have been turning those wacky vibes into meme-spiration ever since.

When Patriotism met WWE cheese in its peak form

It’s now May 1, 2011, in Tampa, Florida, where a tired John Cena had mercifully given everything he had in a crazy Triple Threat Steel Cage uncontested WWE Championship match with The Miz and John Morrison. The crowd was going bananas, but then the news broke that U.S.

The best thing about WWE is that there is such insane talent within it that it is absolutely impossible to take your pick of the litter. However, if I am being honest, my heart resides with Seth Rollins. The five-time World Champion has proven over and over again that he is a force to be reckoned with. His in-ring versatility has set him apart as one of the true cornerstones of WWE today.

With Seth Rollins, you get the whole package. Every time he is expected to step out for a big match, I know we are about to witness greatness. The entrance, the aura, the outfits…all of it is a part of why he will be personal Goat. Today, though, I need to go off about some of his outfits that just make me love the man more.

Following his dramatic and game-changing interference during the triple-threat main event on Night 1 of WrestleMania 41, featuring Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Cm Punk, Paul Heyman has seemingly embraced a bold new direction.

The legendary manager and master strategist is now going all-in, vowing to take on every WWE superstar with unrelenting intensity. Heyman’s shift in attitude was first noticeable during his appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, where his demeanor and tone hinted at a significant character transformation.

However, it was at a recent live event that Heyman truly confirmed his heel turn. Through a series of scathing remarks and sharp-witted jabs, he made it clear that he intends to roast and ridicule anyone who stands in his path.

The company has used the title across its history to develop wrestlers who would go on to become future champions. The United States Championship history grew stronger with names like Eddie Guerrero, Ric Flair, and Booker T.

John Cena is Absolutely Right- 5 WWE Matches That Explain Why John Cena Turned Heel

John Cena sent shockwaves across the wrestling business when he turned heel at the 2025 WWE Elimination Chamber Ple. He launched a beatdown on Cody Rhodes and aligned himself with The Final Boss, The Rock, selling out in the process. After weeks of waiting for answers, Cena finally arrived on Raw to deliver it.

The 16-time WWE Champion came to Raw on March 17th, 2025, taking place in Brussels, Belgium. He launched a verbal barrage on the fans for treating him badly and like a puppet for the last 25 years. Every time Cena tried to give them his best, they showered hate on him. At the end of his promo, Cena claimed that he had ended his relationship with them and no longer cared about any Cenation fan.
