Susan Goforth is an acclaimed American filmmaker, producer, actress, composer, and songwriter whose body of work spans genres, decades, and continents. Known for her compelling storytelling, dynamic performances, and empathetic leadership, Goforth is a multifaceted creative force in the global entertainment industry.

Goforth is the producer of The Red Head movie, a powerful World War II movie based on the true story of Dutch resistance fighter Hannie Schaft, a young woman who risked everything to defy the Nazis. The film marks Goforth's continued commitment to socially resonant, historically rooted stories that inspire courage and moral clarity.

A 3-time Academy Award® contending filmmaker, Goforth is best known for producing 10 Days in a Madhouse (2015) starring Christopher Lambert, War of the Worlds the True Story (2012), and the award-winning crime comedy Tomorrow's Today (2022) which features award-winning cameo performances by Kelly LeBrock and Burt Young in his last feature film role. She produced, co-starred, composed the soundtrack and wrote the songs for the critically praised The Wilde Girls (2025), a comedy set during the Great Depression that explores privilege, survival, and unexpected redemption.

Susan's artistic voice is deeply informed by her roots in live theater and Broadway musicals, where she began her career performing internationally in classic musicals and Shakespeare with the late Spiro Veloudos and Jack Clay as her mentors. A graduate magna cum laude of the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, she brings her musicality to the screen not only as a composer and singer-songwriter, but as a narrative architect who understands the rhythm of storytelling across mediums.

Celebrated for her keen eye for talent, Goforth has helped launch and shape numerous careers, casting emerging stars and nurturing visionary collaborators both behind and in front of the camera. Her productions are often distinguished by their emotionally resonant performances, stylized cinematic language, and bold thematic undercurrents.

Off-screen, Susan is known for her bubbly, effervescent personality, signature thick, curly blonde hair, and her deep empathy, which informs everything from casting decisions to the way she connects with audiences around the world. Her lifelong passion for storytelling is matched only by her belief in the power of film to shift culture and spark meaningful conversation.

Susan Goforth continues to develop and produce boundary-pushing projects across drama, comedy, historical epics, and musical storytelling. With a growing slate of projects and a global fan base, she remains a vital voice in contemporary independent cinema.
