  • Was involved with a girl named Nanda who worked in Holiday Inn. This was prior to getting married.
  • Deepak's wife Sarita Chatley was based in Indonesia. After seeing Insaaf Ka Tarazu on video she told her family she would love to marry a guy like Deepak. She had fallen in love with him. Sarita's family then flew down to India to arrange a marriage between her and a cousin of Deepak Parasher. Unfortunately he had already got engaged to another girl. That is when a family member arranged her match with Deepak Parashar.
  • Made the bold decision to announce that he was gay on the reality television show "Bigg Boss".
  • Eldest sister Sunita passed away from a fire accident when she was 22. She left behind a 9 month year old baby girl named Ritu.
  • In November 1986, Deepak was involved in a life threatening boat accident. He had gone to the U.A.E. in Dubai to receive the Kala Ratan best actor award for Nikaah. During a boat ride he suffered the mishap. The boat over turned and killed the two other passengers who were on it. Deepak's left leg got stuck in the engines propeller. His calf muscle was ripped off. Deepak lost allot of blood. Thankfully he was rescued and taken to Rashid hospital. There his leg was almost amputated due to no feelings in his leg.They feared he had gangrene. They finally realized it was the pain medication that was making his leg numb. Deepak was sent back to India where he slowly made a recovery and saved his leg from being amputated.. A month later his daughter was born.
