The Elton John AIDS Foundation brought together over 100 celebs to celebrate the Oscars and raise money for an important cause!

Camila Cabello, Megan Thee Stallion, Neil Patrick Harris, Heidi Klum, and Sophia Bush were among the many stars who stepped out for the 2025 Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscars Viewing Party on Sunday (March 2) at West Hollywood Park in Los Angeles.

The annual event supports the foundation’s critical efforts in reaching marginalized communities who are affected by HIV/AIDS.

Elton John and Chappell Roan performed together to entertain the crowd. They dueted on his song “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” and her song “Pink Pony Club.”

Big Tech is coming for the TikTokers.

With TikTok about to be shut down after the Supreme Court upheld a ban (pending a Hail Mary from Trump or Biden), other tech companies are preparing to swoop in to poach creators and users from the video platform.

While tech giants like Meta and YouTube have been gunning for TikTok for years, the threat of the platform’s imminent closure is a one-time chance to steal the app’s more than 170 million U.S. users, and its enormous roster of creators, many of whom had been earning a living (or at least trying to) through the service.

At the very least, the TikTok news cycle is a good excuse to see how many users can be snapped up, even as Chinese-owned apps like Red Note and Lemon8 (which is also owned by ByteDance) seem to gain some traction.

With a TikTok ban looming in the United States, other platforms are increasing spending to lure the so-called “refugees” who will seek new feeds after losing access to the For You Page. Though everyone from Triller to Xiaohongshu has made overtures to that uncommitted audience, one of the strongest appeals has come from Snapchat. The app that made its name with disappearing content is marketing its stars days before the U.S. “divest-or-ban” law goes into effect and seals TikTok’s fate.

The new Snapchat campaign invites users to “Find Your Favorites” on the app. The faves in question are popular creators like Loren Gray, Savannah Demers, Matt Friend, Avani Gregg, and Harry Jowsey, all of whom reach large audiences with their Snaps.

Snapchat’s write-up of the campaign comes with testimonials from the featured stars. “Snapchat has helped me connect with my fans on a more personal level,” Gregg said in a statement.

A video of Jennifer Coolidge is going viral on TikTok, and not for a reason you’d expect.

The video features comedian Matt Friend doing an impression of Jennifer in front of her, and her sharing her honest reaction.

However, her iconic speaking voice sounds just a tad different and more subdued in the video. This has lead to dozens and dozens of comments about Jennifer‘s “real speaking voice.”

The 2024 Creative Arts Emmys has handed out its first night of awards.

The annual two-day event, which takes place the weekend before the Primetime Emmys, is currently in the middle of handing out 99 awards to mostly below-the-line categories. Awards announced on Saturday include honors for variety programming, nonfiction and reality.

ABC has shared its first promo for this year’s 76th Emmys, hosted by Dan Levy and Eugene Levy — and for the spot they’re going high-brow — er, eyebrow. Yep, it’s probably appropriate that the first father-son Emmy hosting duo kick things off with a dad joke.

Actor John Stamos recently opened up about his history with Scientology in a podcast appearance. In the conversation, he talks about his experiences walking into the Scientology building in Los Angeles, and recalls the details of the place, people and environment.

As reported by Entertainment Weekly, Stamos appeared on Matt Friend's Friends in High Places podcast where he opened up about Scientology. He details an experience as a young actor when he went with a group after acting class to a building on Hollywood Boulevard, which ended up being the Scientology building. He followed up by describing the E-Meter, an electronic device used in Scientology that can allegedly register emotional reactions, and joked that it reminded him of Peabody and the Wayback Machine seen in the series, The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends.

A group of comedians are signing on for the latest Zoom call to benefit Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign, with Ben Stiller, Jason Bateman, Cecily Strong and D.L. Hughley among those signed up to participate.

Williams spoke about the progress he sees on diversity, equity and inclusion issues in Hollywood during a a 15-minute Q&a with Odetta Watkins, president of the Hollywood Radio and Television Society and head of drama series for Amazon MGM Studios, held as part of the organization’s annual fundraiser. Williams, who was nominated for a Tony Award in 2022 for “Take Me Out,” was feted by Hrts for his work as an actor, director, producer and activist.

“There’s been a letting in of new voices — a widening of the bottleneck,” Williams told Watkins, adding that creatives from under-represented backgrounds have gained authority and authorship of their stories. “We’re not tokenized,” he said. Actor, comedian and impressionist Matt Friend has signed with UTA for representation in all areas.

UTA will help bolster Friend’s comedy career with new opportunities in touring, TV, film, unscripted, endorsements, animation, voiceover work and digital talent. As an impressionist, he has a repertoire of over 250 impressions, ranging from Rami Malek to Timothée Chalamet and Jennifer Coolidge.

Friend has been performing comedy live since graduating from the Gallatin School at New York University in 2020.
