The Tracker season 2 fall finale, "The Night Movers," finally moves the needle on Colter Shaw's Gina Picket case, but the outing may have been better if it focused on its weekly case instead. Tracker, the most-watched TV show of the 2023-2024 season (breaking NCIS' 5-year streak), returned for its sophomore season to high expectations, and understandably so. Marking Justin Hartley's first post-This Is Us series, Tracker follows its titular character as he roams the country for missing people's cases. In season 2, however, the CBS procedural seems to be struggling to find its identity.

Tracker follows lone-wolf survivalist Colter Shaw as he navigates the country as a reward seeker. Utilizing his expert tracking skills, he aids private citizens and law enforcement in solving various mysteries while grappling with issues from his fractured family.

Prime Video's Reacher became an instant hit with audiences when it was released in 2022. Tracker star Justin Hartley recently discussed the upcoming second season, revealing his expectations for the show's continued exploration of Colter Shaw's relationship with his on-screen brother, Russell (Jensen Ackles). Russell Shaw will feature more prominently in Tracker Season 2, which premieres on October 27.
