Larissa Mai McDonald

Larissa Mai McDonald was born August 24, 2002. She is a triple threat performer and daughter of art teacher/support worker Angus McDonald, who holds a Masters in Education and is an alumnus of the University of Hertfordshire. Her mother is graphic designer/artist Emma McDonald, who has featured in television and film such as: The Bill, Resort to Murder, Neverwhere, Hackers and Judge Dredd (1992).
Her father is English with Scottish descent, while her mother is of English and German origin.
Brought up immersed in ballet from the age of 3, Larissa had taken Grade 1 RAD at 5 years of age. She was also awarded first prize, in the Vocal Trio Competition, at the North London Festival of Music, Drama and Dance in 2015. In 2019 Larissa completed the ISTD Advanced 1 Modern Theatre exam and has assisted both with Tring Park School for the Performing Arts Musical Theatre residential Summer Course and the Associates Ballet Intensive Weekend.
From 2011, She attended Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, as a full time student and studied on the Musical Theatre Course. Previous school alumni have included: Lily James, Jessica Brown Findlay and Daisy Ridley.
In 2016, She was cast as Amy which co stared Jack Kane (Years and Years, Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw 2019) in the 4 part- Children with Cancer UK commercial, directed by Tony McHale. In 2017 her dancing featured in Lydia Singer's music video-Out of Control.
In 2019, Larissa played the character role of Maddie in Dynamic 2 (Oxford University Press) and co starred Caius Duncombe of the X Factor: The Band/boy group - Unwritten Rule. She also, in the same year, modelled as an urban dancer for French fashion and beauty photographer Zelia Laborde. This creative genre continued in 2020-21 with London based photographer Alexander Yip, which included a feature for Ballerina Project UK.
Larissa graduated with a BA (Hons) in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre at Bird College (Conservatoire for Dance and Musical Theatre) 2023. In early 2024, Larissa began rehearsing in Los Angeles for Princess Cruises Sapphire ship, as a cast dancer and in 2025, she has returned to the Princess Cruises LA studios, to rehearse for an upcoming second contract, on the Grand Princess.
