10 Most Problematic Twilight Saga Characters, Ranked
Image
The Twilight Saga may have set a precedent for vampire romances, but the movies were a breeding ground for unhealthy relationship dynamics. From Bella and Edward's problematic relationship to supporting characters who did nothing for the narrative, the popular cult classic did not withstand the test of time. The growth associated with several characters, including their knack for making questionable choices, did not align with modern standards in certain aspects.

Whether it was Bella's overall attitude to handling a teenage affair or her mother being extremely naïve and irresponsible, it's difficult to pronounce the Twilight movies as anything more than a guilty pleasure indulgence. Having said that, fans would definitely agree that when it came to being utterly unbearable, some Twilight characters were ahead of the others.

‘Bosch: Legacy’ Season 2 Cliffhanger Explained by Titus Welliver
Image
The relationship between Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver) and his daughter, Maddie (Madison Lintz) has always been wonderfully portrayed on-screen, especially in Bosch: Legacy. When we're first introduced to Maddie in Bosch, she lives with her mother, former FBI agent Eleanor Wish (Sarah Clarke) in Las Vegas, with Harry a distant dad. Over the years, the pair grow closer, partly due to the death of Eleanor as part of an FBI operation, as well as the kidnapping of both Eleanor and Maddie early on in the series. These events, one might surmise, could push Maddie down a route of darkness.

Here's Where the Cast of Twilight is Today
Image
Twilight was released on November 21, 2008, and even with how popular the book series was, no one expected the craze that it would bring to the film industry and fandom culture. The film kicked off not only one of the biggest franchises in movie history but also took a cast of relatively unknown actors and made them some of the biggest stars in the world.

Update November 9, 2023: With Twilight's 15th anniversary approaching, this article has been updated with the actor's most recent projects.

It is hard to believe Twilight was released almost fifteen years ago. It still somehow feels new, as the franchise saw a resurgence in 2021 when it arrived on Netflix, and an entirely new generation who missed the film phenomenon discovered it for the first time. While some may snark at it, Twilight has remained a classic for many people that they look back fondly on. With...

The Twilight Saga: 10 Most Questionable Characters
Image
Few other franchises can reach the echelons of fame that The Twilight Saga did, and it continues to be a beloved series even today. Twilight catalyzed a renaissance of the vampire genre with Bella and Edward's forbidden love story. When Jacob the werewolf entered the equation, Twilight birthed the most significant love triangle of all time.

However, some elements of the franchise haven't aged too well, and some characters did some very questionable things throughout The Twilight Saga. From Bella's mother to the vampires and werewolves of Forks, these characters did some dubious things.

’24’: THR’s 2001 Review
Image
On Nov. 6, 2001, the Kiefer Sutherland-starrer from Imagine Television bowed on Fox in the 9 p.m. hour, kickstarting a franchise that aired for more than a decade. The Hollywood Reporter’s original review is below:

No question, there are some eerie similarities between the premiere episode of 24 and the terrible events of Sept 11. The tightly woven drama includes vague warnings of terrorist activity, an assassination plot and an imperiled airliner. But instead of causing discomfort, 24 grabs you by the collar and simply won’t let go. Few shows are ever this riveting.

A creation of exec producers Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran, 24 employs a couple of novel but extremely effective story telling techniques. First, it unravels its story in real time, with each hour on the screen representing an hour in the life of its characters. Second, it makes frequent use of split-screen shots, showing different angles of the same...

Rebecca Ferguson, a former runner-up on The X Factor, has criticized ITV after the UK broadcaster failed to investigate her “traumatic” experience on the Simon Cowell entertainment show.

In a series of tweets, the singer published screenshots that appeared to be of an email she sent to ITV CEO Carolyn McCall in 2021 detailing “terrible foul play” on The X Factor in 2021.

Ferguson has previously raised concerns about her experience on the series, but revisited her claims amid a deluge of allegations about a “toxic” culture on ITV daytime show This Morning.

Official Trailer for 'Heightened' Indie Comedy Made by Sara Friedman
Image
"You were so fearless as a little girl... I wonder what changed?" An official trailer has debuted for an indie dramedy titled Heightened, marking the feature directorial debut of actress / filmmaker Sara Friedman. After making numerous shorts, she writes and directs and stars in this feature film about a woman returning to her home town in Maine. It seems to be another of these very personal, autobiographical films where a filmmaker just tells their own story because that's the only good story to tell right now. Following a mental breakdown, a young woman must return home to Maine for treatment. After she is unwillingly thrust into nature, she finds unexpected solace in the company of a neurotic Park Ranger, who is dealing with issues of his own. Friedman co-stars with Dave Register, playing the funky Park Ranger, along with Sarah Clarke, Mike Mitchell, Xander Berkeley, Moira Driscoll, and Dipti Mehta.

It’s not all — or even remotely — about looks in Netflix’s new dating series “Sexy Beasts,” which will be narrated by “Catastrophe” star and comedian Rob Delaney, Variety can reveal.

Produced by All3Media-backed Lion TV, the streamer has signed on for two seasons of the reality show, which sees singles heading into blind dates transformed into various animals and mythical creatures through the use of Hollywood movie prosthetics. ‘Bosch’ Review: Amazon’s Cop Drama Remains True Blue Even as It Probes Into Moral Greyness in Season 5
“Bosch” is back and as addictive as ever, showing why it’s Amazon’s oldest continuing original drama despite a call for new blood. As the streaming service is working hard to freshen its programming with big tentpoles like “Jack Ryan” or the upcoming “Good Omens” and “Lord of the Rings,” it always returns to the reliable, meticulous charms of Det. Hieronymus “Harry” Bosch (Titus Welliver).

In its fifth season, “Bosch” once again proves how delving into the everyday drudgery of police work and unspooling cases in an unhurried, unglamorous way can be even more effective than the splashier storytelling on its network counterparts. The series jumps forward about a year after the shocking events of Season 4, when Bosch witnesses his ex-wife Eleanor’s (Sarah Clarke) murder in a drive-by shooting. Grief and anger are mostly in the rearview as Bosch and his undergrad daughter Maddie (Madison Lintz) are now...

Xander Berkeley in The Maestro (2018)
Film Review: ‘The Maestro’
Xander Berkeley in The Maestro (2018)
The expert in question in “The Maestro” is famed composer Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco (Xander Berkeley), who over the course of his career contributed to more than 200 movies, many as a “ghost composer.” Yet the real focus of Adam Cushman’s film is actually Jerry Herst (Leo Marks), an aspiring musician who in 1945 Los Angeles became one of Castelnuovo-Tedesco’s students. By consigning its most interesting character to a supporting role, this amiable slice of fictionalized history loses a good deal of its heft. Nonetheless, solid direction and a charming Berkeley turn help it stave off insubstantiality, and should make it an appealing option for those interested in a pleasant alternative to big-studio fare.

Wearing dark-rimmed glasses, boasting a gray beard and hair that sticks out in slight tufts from the side of his balding head, and puffing away from his cigarette holder, the Italian-born Castelnuovo-Tedesco is introduced telling an older pupil,...

Trailer for Composer Biopic 'The Maestro' Starring Xander Berkeley
"There is music in everything!! I help you to bring forth what is inside..." Freestyle Digital Media has released the first official trailer for an indie drama titled The Maestro, a biopic about the infamous master teacher Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco. The film focuses on a young composer named Jerry Herst, played by Leo Marks, who moves to Hollywood after WWII to study with Castelnuovo-Tedesco - striking up a friendship with him. The cast includes Sarah Clarke, Mackenzie Astin, William Russ, Alex Essoe, Kristen Gutoskie, Jonathan Cherry, and Jon Polito. This seems like another one of these fuzzy, old-Hollywood romantic biopics about a long lost era. And it looks alright, maybe a bit dry but still worth a look. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Adam Cushman's The Maestro, direct from YouTube: Adam Cushman's The Maestro follows budding film composer Jerry Herst (Leo Marks) as he moves to Hollywood after...

‘Bosch’ Boss Discusses Eleanor’s Big Scene and What’s Coming in Season 5
[Editor’s Note: The following contains spoilers from “Bosch” Season 4.]

The life of a homicide detective is not an easy one, but Det. Hieronymus “Harry” Bosch (Titus Welliver) has been tested even more than usual this season on his eponymous Amazon series. As the lead on a task force investigating the murder of a high-profile attorney on Los Angeles’ Angels Flight railcar, Bosch has to contend with public perception, a shady police commission chief, and possible corruption inside the Lapd.

And while that’s all part of the job, Bosch’s own personal tragedies have also overlapped with cases this year. Our hero finally got closure for the cold case murder of his mother since that killer and the Angels Flight killer turned out to be one and the same. But the biggest blow came when Harry had to watch his ex-wife Eleanor (Sarah Clarke) get gunned down and die. In trying to bring her killers to justice,...

‘Bosch’ Review: Amazon’s Unstoppable Cop Drama Elevates the Series With a Season 4 Shocker
In its fourth season, “Bosch” remains as good and solid as its namesake hero. The creation of author Michael Connelly, good ol’ Det. Hieronymus “Harry” Bosch (Titus Welliver) is a no-excuses cop who is haunted by his past, but you wouldn’t know it because he’s also incredibly businesslike. He’s not crippled by his obsessions nor addictions, he’s not a quirky savant with exceptional detecting skills, and he’s not in any way an obnoxious attention seeker.

Instead, his appeal is that he does his job without fanfare and as honestly and implacably as possible, while occasionally overextending himself. And so too does “Bosch” the series. It’s why it was Amazon’s top-watched original series for several years until “Sneaky Pete” sneaked in: “Bosch” is so reliable in how pure and straightforward it is that a series-altering event in the first half of the season is actually shocking when it happens.

Bosch renewed for season 5 by Amazon, season 4 air date set
Joseph Baxter Feb 14, 2018

Bosch, the acclaimed Amazon crime series, has received a renewal for season 5, just as the release date for season 4 finally arrives...

Amazon has a feeling that it can’t let go... when it comes to the retro-noir contemporary crime procedural series, Bosch, which stars Titus Welliver as the titular troubled Lapd detective. That’s because the retail monolith’s streaming platform has renewed the series for season 5! Additionally, Amazon has provided the long-awaited announcement revealing the (unlucky) date on which season 4 premieres on Prime: Friday, April 13th.

The preemptively ordered Bosch season 5 will arrive as a partial restoration of the show’s status quo, since April’s season 4 will be the manifestation of a major sea change behind the scenes that saw showrunner/executive producer Eric Overmyer exit the series to migrate over to fellow Amazon peak TV offering The Man In The High Castle. However, Overmyer...

In the last two episodes of NCIS season 13, FBI Special Agent Tess Monroe (played by Sarah Clarke) was introduced to fans as one of the two replacements for "Very Special" Agent Tony Dinozzo. It goes without saying that no one can fill Tony's shoes. Adding new characters to beloved shows can be notoriously difficult (right, Bishop?) Tess, who transferred over from the New York counter-terrorism department three months ago, definitely made her presence known when she met the team.

So has NCIS found a worthy replacement for Tony? Not so fast! We haven't had a lot of time to get to know Tess, but so far, I am less than impressed.

'NCIS' Season 13 Finale Recap: Why Does Tony Leave the Team?
Wilmer Valderrama, Rocky Carroll, Gary Cole, Katrina Law, Sean Murray, Brian Dietzen, and Diona Reasonover in NCIS : Enquêtes spéciales (2003)
Last time on NCIS, we got to know FBI Special Agent Tess Monroe (played by Sarah Clarke) and MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves (played by Duane Henry) as they worked with the team to capture British spy Jacob Scott. In this case, they found Scott in the elevator at NCIS headquarters -- surrendering and saying that he was innocent. It turned out that the murderer was actually evil former (and recently fired) CIA Agent Trent Kort, and he framed Scott to take the fall. Kort was selling secrets to the Russians, then told the Russians that one of their own, Nika Razin, was leaking intelligence. Razin, who was Scott's wife, was shot before NCIS and MI6 could apprehend her. Scott was arrested for selling American nuclear intelligence to Russia.

In the season 13 finale of NCIS, "Family First," we also prepare to bid farewell to "Very Special" Agent Tony Dinozzo as actor Michael Weatherly departs the series.
