Derrick Damions

Derrick is an artist at heart and by the end of university he'd won a string of citations in writing, design, architecture, singing and acting. Educated at Yale, Georgetown, The Shakespeare Theatre Company, UCB, ComedySportz, PIT, The Second City & The National Theater Institute, led to performing on stage at The Kennedy Center, prime time TV, soaps, Off Broadway, major hit films and starring in many Indie films. He was put on pause while healing from deadly accidents. After these life-changing events he re-launched his acting career in 2015. Derrick starred in 9 indie/feature films in a very short time frame, wrote & filmed a short, cast-funded-produced films and had a blast doing an Off-Broadway play, which also went to Philly.

As a singer-songwriter his songs have won 3 national Billboard Awards. He's also volunteered as a Certified Red Cross Medic & disaster relief, walked on fire...

What he's learned so far: Words are tiny mirrors ever reflecting the heart of the speaker...Acceptance is smarter than resistance, it's the shortest road to peace...Acting & singing are 2 sides of the same coin - they both use the voice-body to convey story, which is the connective fabric of humanity...Art is the transfer of emotion to others...Worthy stories can be an agent of change for our culture, which fuels our evolution to a better direction.
