Wouter Vincent Smit was born April 4th 1970 in the city of Geleen in
the south of the Netherlands.
At age 12, he got the leading role in the school musical "The suitcase of mr. van Dalen". It was then that he knew he liked performing. Playing guitar in several rockbands and touring, he developed his musical and songwriting skills.
When he was 18 he moved to the city of Haarlem, near to Amsterdam. After doing several commercial and marketing studies and later working in several in several sales and marketing management positions, the time came to get back to more creative things. Having a growing interest in everything that's about movies, he started as a producer on the feature film Fighting Fish and did a lot of PR for this project. Meanwhile he did some acting in tv series or worked as an extra in movies, to get more on-set experience.
After being a co-worker on several movie productions he started his own marketing agency Multi Marketeers (www.multimarketeers.nl). This company does not only produce commercial and corporate films but also develops online games, and set up joint promotions.
Wouter now serves as director of Multi Marketeers and the parent company Movie Marketeers, that also delivers film production services like filming and editing, directing, casting, writing and concept development. As of 2009 Wouter is involved in several productions.
