If you’ve been hooked on The Buccaneers’ swoony love triangles, stolen glances, and forbidden rendezvous, just wait until you hear what’s happening when the cameras aren’t rolling. Turns out, the romance doesn’t stay in the Gilded Age; some of it spills right into real life, and the cast’s off-screen connections are just as juicy as their on-screen scandals.
Leading lady Kristine Frøseth plays the bold and charming Nan St. George on screen. Then there’s Guy Remmers, Matthew Broome, Aubri Ibrag, and Christina Hendricks, who’ve all got fans wondering about their real-life relationship status. Are they single? Secretly seeing someone? Or maybe dating someone you’d never expect?
Between red carpet moments that feel a little too cozy, behind-the-scenes selfies that practically scream “couple energy,” and the occasional flirty social media interaction, the Buccaneers cast has us playing detective. And honestly, we’re not complaining,...

Nan St. George’s duchess happy ending did not go as she planned on “The Buccaneers” Season 2 finale.
When the Duchess of Tintagel (Kristine Froseth) realized that she was pregnant with Theo’s (Guy Remmers) baby, she had a hard choice to make. Though the two had fallen out of love and Theo moved on with one of her best friends, Nan had a plan to keep her newfound power intact by surprising him and the court with the baby news.
But too bad for our duchess, Theo had a scheme of his own. At Nan’s masquerade ball, Theo announced that the couple abdicated their title, leaving Nan pregnant and alone with his heir.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for The Buccaneers Season 2 Episode 8, “She Knows.”] Cue J. Cole‘s “She Knows.” The Buccaneers Season 2 finale featured the long-overdue showdown between former best friends Lizzy (Aubri Ibrag) and Nan (Kristine Froseth). Once Nan discovered Lizzy was the woman having an affair with Theo (Guy Remmers), things quickly spiraled out of control. Nan threatened to expose Lizzy, Nan realized she was pregnant, and Theo threw everyone a curveball by abdicating his position as Duke of Tintagel so he could be with Lizzy. Nan was just about to announce to everyone that she was pregnant with the heir to Tintagel when Theo made his shocking announcement. Nan ran off, and Lizzy quickly followed her. The two had another heated conversation, where Nan dropped the bomb that she was pregnant with Theo’s baby, which left Lizzy stunned. Nan planned to run away from Tintagel, but asked (more like automatically assumed) Lizzy would keep her secret. “...

Spoiler Alert: This post majorly spoils the finale of The Buccaneers Season 2.
Another season of Apple TV+’s The Buccaneers has come to a close with many cliffhangers and loose threads to dissect.
With the help of Mrs. St. George (Christina Hendricks), Nan (Kristine Frøseth) cooks up a plan to announce her pregnancy at midnight at the ball in a classic Cinderella fairytale fashion, but it turns out the time is up on this fantasy life as Theo (Guy Remmers) takes the moment to abdicate his position as Duke of Tintagel in order to divorce Nan and eventually marry Lizzy Elmsworth (Aubri Ibrag).
“Absolutely everything’s up for grabs, and none of the things that she thought were certain are certain anymore, except for the fact that [Nan]’s got [Theo]’s child in her stomach, and he doesn’t know about it,” series creator-showrunner Katherine Jakeways told Deadline. “He doesn’t know that child exists.

Spoiler Alert: This post contains spoilers for the finale of Season 2 of The Buccaneers.
The Buccaneers star Kristine Frøseth is proud of Nan for choosing herself in the Season 2 finale following some twists and turns at the masquerade ball.
This choice set Season 2’s ending apart from that of Season 1, in which Nan chose to marry Theo (Guy Remmers), Duke of Tintagel, in order to protect her sister Jinny (Imogen Waterhouse) from her abusive husband, James Seadown (Barney Fishwick). In other ways, though, the ending mirrors how Jinny escaped with Nan running away into the fog with a relieved look on her face.
“I think she makes the right choice at the end of Episode 8 by doing what she does, which is basically leave. She has this whole new responsibility. The priorities are different,” Frøseth told Deadline. “Up until this point, there’s been so many bombs thrown at her,...

I firmly believe that The Buccaneers Season 3 needs to justify and answer a few questions in the next plot. Season 2 leaves us on a note that makes us clinch our fists in the hopes that everything aligns well. But, of course, how will the show progress if not left as an untold story? The show has by far done good with the ratings, and we hope that it continues as high as it can.

Apple TV's perfect Bridgerton replacement is climbing the global streaming charts ahead of its season 2 finale. Based on Julia Quinn's romance novels, each season of Netflix's popular period drama follows a different member of the eponymous noble family as they find love in a historically alternative version of Regency-era London.
Bridgerton's cast includes names like Jonathan Bailey, Nicola Coughlan, Phoebe Dynevor, Regé-Jean Page, and Simone Ashley, many of whom have been catapulted to greater fame courtesy of the series. Since its debut in 2020, Bridgerton has consistently been one of Netflix's most-watched series, with seasons 1 and 3 both ranking among the streamer's top 10 most popular shows of all time worldwide.
As a result, there have been many shows similar to Bridgerton attempting to capitalize on its success, including Prime Video's My Lady Jane, which was controversially canceled after one season in August 2024. Now, another Bridgerton replacement is rising up the global streaming charts,...

Spoiler Alert: This piece spoils Episode 6 of The Buccaneers Season 2.
As the tension between Jinny (Imogen Waterhouse) and her estranged husband Lord James Seadown (Barney Fishwick) reaches its peak in the sixth episode of Season 2, things take a turn as not everyone survives the ongoing battle between the couple for custody of their son Freddie.
Seadown, a verbally and physically abusive man who first mistreated Lizzy Elmsworth (Aubri Ibrag) in Season 1, began to hit Jinny after they married, causing Jinny’s half sister Nan (Kristine Froseth) and their friends to band together, distract Seadown and send pregnant Jinny away in a carriage with Nan’s love Guy Thwarte (Matthew Broome) while Nan made the ultimate sacrifice to marry Theo (Guy Remmers), Duke of Tintagel in the Season 1 finale.
As of Episode 6 Lord Richard Marable (Josh Dylan) has become a casualty of the fray, dying by gunshot at the hands of his brother.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for The Buccaneers Season 2, Episode 5, “A Whole Love.”] The Buccaneers is keeping fans on their toes after the latest episode, “A Whole Love,” which saw Theo (Guy Remmers), Duke of Tintagel, run through the streets of London to disrupt Lizzy Elmsworth’s (Aubri Ibrag) wedding to Hector Robinson (Jacob Ifan). The big question is whether she’ll go through with the marriage or not, as the episode ended before Lizzy made a decision. Turning up moments before she’s set to enter the church, Theo begs her for a word and asks her to reconsider the marriage, even if they can’t be together because of his marriage to her friend Nan (Kristine Frøseth) and his role as a Duke. Theo tells Lizzy that she deserves a great love like theirs, and if Hector can give it to her, then she should go through with the wedding, but if not, then...

Apple TV+’s The Buccaneers has taken the period drama by storm, establishing itself as one of the boldest shows of the genre. Despite being historically accurate with regards to the rule-bound high society of London, it rejects the conventions that obstructed it from pushing the limits of storytelling. This unique blend of mixing tradition with contemporary ideas has made Season 1 a rebel that has left some people scratching their heads.
With Season 2 of the show here, people are excited to watch it. Well, the plot and cast definitely have a big part in it. Moreover, to expand its reach, the Apple TV+ Original has found a temporary shelter in Prime Video. With that being said, the real question remains: When can we stream it?

A few shows are masters of suspense, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats right up until the very end of an episode, leaving them desperately wanting more. The Buccaneers did exactly that with their Season 2, Episode 5, “A Whole Love.” I am shaken to the core. And believe me when I say this, I am shaken!

I need to begin this review by saying that The Buccaneers season 2 is exceeding my expectations with each episode. Episode 5, called “A Whole Love,” is out now, and it is equal parts tear-jerking and jaw-dropping. Apple TV+’s rising star gave us so many plot twists in a single episode, I am floored.
Entanglements from The Buccaneers Season 2 Episode 4 grew deeper, and this episode built a crescendo so sharp we had our hearts in our mouths. They left us with mixed feelings and a cliffhanger in the end. I’m not sure what I feel about this episode, yet, maybe we’ll know by the end of the review.
Spoiler Alert !!!This article contains spoilers about The Buccaneers season 2 episode 5 Theo and Lizzy and Nan, and Guy: The Buccaneers‘ Loveless 4
The episode opened with ethereal scenes of Theo and Lizzy’s love story blooming over days or weeks, which they didn’t reveal for sure.

At long last, Season 2 of The Buccaneers is almost here on Apple TV+ to pick up with the titular young American women after their explosion onto the scene in Gilded Age London back in 2023. Although things began in high spirits as the ambitious and extroverted friends navigated English high society and courted suitors, the Season 1 finale left things on a bleak note, with each of the women forced to accept a reality they did not desire. Chief among them is Nan (Kristine Frøseth), who marries a man she doesn't love to become the Duchess of Tintagel, the most influential woman in the country, to protect her sister, Jinny (Imogen Waterhouse), from the wrath of her abusive husband. Collider now has an exclusive sneak peek from the premiere showing how Nan is dealing with the fallout of giving up the rest of her life with a little support from Conchita (Alisha Boe...

Boy oh boy are we excited about The Buccaneers season 2 on Apple TV+! The first season of the historical drama certainly brought with it romance, twists and turns, and big plot twists we didn't see coming. I have no doubt that the second season will be the same, and it looks so intriguing based on the trailer.
The Buccaneers season 2 premieres Wednesday, June 18, 2025 with the first episode on Apple TV+. The release schedule will remain the same through the finale, which will debut on Aug. 6, 2025. There's a total of eight episodes, just like season 1. Ready to check out the trailer? Watch it below!
What to expect from The Buccaneers season 2
Ok, wow. Where do I begin? Well, Nan and Theo are in honeymoon bliss. At least, Theo is. Nan, not so much. She's clearly trying to put Guy behind her and forget about him, though it's much easier said than done.

The full trailer for Season 2 of Apple TV+’s period drama The Buccaneers has arrived, and it teases more sisterhood, romance, love affairs, bold declarations, bright gowns, breathtaking landscapes and a plot twist or two.
The second season welcomes series newcomer Leighton Meester, whose character Nell can be seen at the end of the clip asking Christina Hendricks’ Patricia St. George to introduce her to Kristine Frøseth’s Nan St. George.

After exploding onto Apple TV+ late last year, The Buccaneers is reloading ahead of Season 2 by adding a Gossip Girl. A new set video shared today shows the arrival of Leighton Meester on the acclaimed Edith Wharton adaptation in a yet-unnamed role. She adds some extra firepower to a show that already boasts a beefy ensemble headlined by Kristine Frseth, Alisha Boe, Josie Totah, Aubri Ibrag, and Imogen Waterhouse as the titular five women. Filming is still underway in Scotland for their next tale of cultural clashes and relationship drama in London's high society.
