Kimberley recently created 1827 in Jackson Browne's childhood home for her proof of concept for George Eliot's "Middlemarch" starring Chelsea Alden ("13 Reasons Why") with DP Denis Moran ("Mad Men") and Tammy Fouts, Camera ("Avatar 2,3.") Her documentary "Flying the Feathered Edge" is listed by Flying Magazine as one of the top aviation films of all time. Upcoming projects include "The Last Grandmaster," a documentary filmed in Japan on Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi, the 34th Grandmaster of Ninjitsu, and "Rock Camp," starring Roger Daltry, Sammy Hagar, Gene Simmons, and Nancy Wilson. Kimberley is a member of the Motion Picture Editor's Guild, and is on the Board of the Alliance of Women Directors where she created and spearheads their ongoing "Works in Progress Program" with sponsors Canon and FotoKem.

Raised in Virginia horse country, Furst trained in poetry and theater at James Madison University. At the British Institute in Florence, Italy, she continued her studies in Italian Neo-Realist Film and creative writing. On return, Furst was hired at the local ABC affiliate WHSV TV3 in Harrisonburg, Virginia, as a field photographer and film editor.

In Los Angeles, Furst found a niche as a film editor by bringing her distinctive style of storytelling to the documentary industry, with projects such as Discovery Channel's Rocket Challenge (2003), One Six Right (2005), Wings Over the Rockies (2009), starring Harrison Ford with music by James Newton Howard, the PBS reality series The Horsemen, with music provided by Academy Award winning composer James Horner.

In 2005 Furst edited the Stanley Kubrick Excellence in Film Award montage for recipient Tom Cruise, televised during the BAFTA/LA Awards ceremony. Noticed for her unique editorial style by Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner, she was brought on to work on 'JJ Abrams'' Mission: Impossible III (2006), resulting in a Golden Satellite Award for "Best DVD Extras." From 2006-2008, Furst continued on as an executive at United Artists, overseeing behind the scenes documentaries for Robert Redford's Lions et agneaux (2007), Walkyrie (2008) and Warner Home Entertainment's 25th Anniversary of Risky Business (1983).

One of the twelve founding members of the American Shakespeare Center, Furst has continued to support live theater and has a passion for helping shape and stage new theatrical works. Projects include the Los Angeles premiere of David Rabe's Those the River Keeps, extensive work with the Playwrights' Center in Chicago, and the critically acclaimed world premiere of Henry Jaglom's stage play, A Safe Place.

Kim lives in Los Angeles.
