Biography

Troy Powell was born in Oregon and raised in Marshall, TX. He is now a director, writer, producer, and actor living in Oklahoma. For the past 25 years, he has served as the director of theatre, receiving four consecutive Tony nominations for Excellence in Theatre Education and directing over 130 plays and musicals. He is also the founder of Comedy 101, a comedy improvisational troupe that has performed across the U.S.Troy is a prolific writer, having penned numerous short stories, plays, and film scripts, including Bucket List, Our Story, My Maestro, To Thine Own Self, The Last Years of Vincent Van Gogh, and the television series The Shop, The Bach Academy, and Bad Things and Good People. He lives in peace and joy with his wife and four children.
