Jeff Murphy has an extensive background in the film industry, having contributed to over 150 feature films. Notably, he served as the lead editor for the Emmy® Nominated Ryan's Mystery Playdate, working on 90 episodes, and for 76 episodes of Nickelodeon's Emmy® Nominated series Mutt & Stuff. He also lent his editing expertise to Netflix's Blippi's Job Show and Amazon Studios' 2018 Sigmund And The Sea Monsters, a project produced by renowned filmmakers Sid and Marty Krofft. He recently edited the Theatrical films Justice (Universal Pictures) and Ryan's World the movie.
In 2020, Jeff won the Daytime Emmy® Award for Producing the 5th Season of Amazon's The Bay. In 2021, He was nominated for a Daytime Emmy award for producing Season 6 of the Bay and nominated in 2023 for Supervising Producer of Out-Of-The-Box with Dr. Jeff
Jeff holds the role of Visual Effects Producer for several prominent series, including Paramount Plus' The Really Loud House, NBC/Universal's Punky Brewster on Peacock, Netflix's Blippis Job Show, Amazon's Blippi's Treehouse, Disney's Coop and Cami Ask The World, and Disney Plus' Earth to Ned. He recently completed post-production work on Universal Studios' two theatrical films Justice and Werewolves.
In addition to his television work, Jeff's talents extend to the realm of visual effects. He recently contributed visual effects for notable projects such as FX/Hulu's The Old Man, Amazon's Gen V, Netflix's A Family Affair, Netflix's Red Notice, Amazon's Jack Ryan, and Amazon's The Terminal List, while also working on sound design for Stranger Things: The Drive-Thru Experience.
Jeff is the founder and co-owner of the award-winning Hollywood/Los Angeles-based post-production studio, Quest Pacifica LLC. The company specializes in 26 years of motion picture editing, sound, color, and visual effects for film, online streaming, and television. In 2022, Quest Pacifica was awarded #585 in INC. 5000 Magazine as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States, and in 2021, they were ranked #1157. Quest is a TPN compliant and certified facility with Multiple Edit Suites, a Davinci color bay, ADR Room, Theater Screening Room, and 9600 sq ft of creative space.
Jeff continues to work in the gaming industry for the XBOX 360, XBOX One, PlayStation, and Nintendo platforms. He has contributed visual effects for Activision's Call of Duty: Elite, Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, and Friday the 13th: The Game. He also served as a producer on the award-winning XBOX game Zumba: World Party, which mixed live action using Pre-Visualization and Visual Effects.
With over 15 years of experience, Jeff has worked in production and post-production with the US Army, S.O.C.O.M., US Air Force, Department of Defense, and the Pentagon on various video and media projects.
In 2017, Jeff joined the Los Angeles Kings organization, operating the Video Replay System for the Referees and Officials at all home games. He continues to work with the NHL hockey season by controlling the Hawkeye camera system to determine goals, assists, penalties, and off-sides for the LA Kings.
In 1998, he graduated from the film school, Columbia College Hollywood with Magna Cum Laude. He is active professor at Los Angeles Valley College, teaching Motion Picture Editing and Visual Effects. He is a current board member of the Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce representing the Entertainment Industry.
