Biography

Lead singer of Mexican pop band "Los Bukis". Formed Los Bukis along with brothers, cousins and friends in the early 1970s. Became very successful from the late 1970s, throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Los Bukis have become one Latin America's best-selling and most influential bands and are sometimes refered as the "Latin Beatles".

The band disbanded in 1996 and Solis went solo, while the remaining members formed another band called "Los Mismos". Solis has also written songs for other artists such as; Olga Tanon, Laura Flores, Enrique Iglesias, and Ezequiel Pena.
