90 Day Fiancé star Armando Rubio wants it all, but when it comes to asking Kenny Niedermeier to welcome another baby with him, he may be flying too close to the sun. In Greek mythology, Icarus died because he flew towards the sun and his beeswax wings melted. Sometimes, when people go too far in life, they can fall from great heights. If Armando's baby fever takes over his relationship, he may kill the golden goose. In other words, Kenny may get tired of his demands, and give up on the relationship.
Kenny loves Armando. He's always done everything for him. In fact, it's hard to think of a 90 Day Fiancé cast member who's made greater sacrifices for another person. Kenny moved from the USA to Mexico, putting down roots in a rural area where homophobia ran rampant. Kenny couldn't speak Spanish and the culture shock was jarring. Then, Kenny...

People were captivated by the Squid Game in 2021, which mixed harsh criticism of capitalism with the thrill of survival games. It became famous all over the world because it vividly showed desperation and morality. As the participants played deadly children’s games, stark societal differences became clear. It was a disturbing reflection of our own world, where the stakes often feel too high.
Now that Season 2 has begun, there is anticipation. Author Hwang Dong-hyuk hasn’t been back in three years, which makes me wonder what has changed in the world of culture. Hwang wants to learn more about what drives the characters and how the game’s evil tactics work. This time, it’s not only about survival but also about figuring out why people choose to be in such a mess.

Major League Baseball icon Pete Rose, focus of a new HBO documentary series, says the gambling scandal that got him banned from the game cost him dearly.
“You have to understand one thing, ladies and gentlemen,” Rose said at a Q&A after the premiere of episode 1 of Charlie Hustle & The Matter of Pete Rose, “gambling cost me a hundred million [dollars]. That’s what I’d have made in baseball if I hadn’t got suspended.”
In 1989, Rose was managing the Cincinnati Reds when Major League Baseball investigated claims he had wagered bets on MLB games, including his own team’s. Bart Giamatti (father of actor Paul Giamatti), then-Baseball Commissioner, issued a lifetime ban from baseball on Rose. That has kept Rose out of the Hall of Fame, even though he is baseball’s all-time hit leader and holder of many other MLB records, including games played and plate appearances.

Die Another Day director Lee Tamahori defends the film's sci-fi gadgets, explaining that they're based on real-world technology. Pierce Brosnan's final outing as James Bond wasn't well-received and was criticized for its invisible Aston Martin and outlandish Icarus storyline. It wasn't the sci-fi gadgets that hurt Die Another Day, but their place in a story that didn't feel believable.
James Bond director Lee Tamahori defends Die Another Day's controversial sci-fi gadgets. Released in 2002, Die Another Day marks actor Pierce Brosnan's final time playing 007. The film, which also stars Halle Berry and Rosamund Pike, follows Bond as he attempts to take down an eccentric diamond mogul who plans to use the Icarus, a solar-powered satellite, to start a war between North and South Korea. Die Another Day earned mostly negative reviews from critics and was heavily criticized for being too far-fetched with its plot and gadgets, which included an invisible Aston Martin.

Actor Martin Delaney has stepped into the shoes of a tech visionary in the new film “The Man Who Saved the Internet With a Sunflower.”
Delaney portrays Robert Ryan, the founder of Ascend Communications who played a crucial role in the early days of the internet. The film has already garnered critical acclaim, recently winning the Competition Features Audience Award at the Dances With Films festival.
The film chronicles Ryan’s journey from humble beginnings to becoming a key player in Silicon Valley during the 1980s and ’90s. It focuses on Ryan’s development of the “pizza box” modem, which revolutionized internet access by offering faster speeds at half the price of competitors. This innovation allowed struggling internet service providers to stay afloat and ultimately led to Ascend’s meteoric rise in the tech industry, culminating in its sale to Lucent Technologies for $24 billion in 1999.

With the exception of "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" (and maybe "The Game"), David Fincher's oeuvre (including his television series "House of Cards" and the dearly missed "Mindhunter") collectively expresses a resoundingly dim view of humankind. He's not cruel about it, nor is he despondent; often, he seems darkly amused by the unfettered manifestation of our worst instincts, and the heights people can reach when they eschew inconvenient virtues like compassion and ethics.
Even when he gets a tad heavy-handed with his messaging, I'm glad a deep thinker and master cinematic craftsman like Fincher is out there exploring our tendency to become our worst selves. He's certainly been swamped with potential inspiration over the last decade, and, given his technical expertise, one subject I'd love to see him tackle is the use of AI as not just as a creative cog, but a full-blown engine. Akira Toriyamas Dragon Ball excels in many diverse departments and one of the biggest reasons that its become an evergreen shonen hit thats endured for nearly four decades is the heightened world and rich lore thats been created. There is no shortage of anime that feature exaggerated action sequences and bold transformations. However, a big way in which Dragon Ball stands out from its peers is that its set in an unpredictable realm where monsters, anthropomorphic animals, aliens, and dinosaurs, coexist with humans.
It should come as no surprise that a series thats titled Dragon Ball has a certain fascination with dragons, but the franchise has catered towards this interest in many different ways. Dragon Balls dragons include godly wish-granting creatures, non-verbal pets, and heroic fighters. All these dragons have left strong impressions on the audience, but some of them resonate more strongly than others.

Computer-generated and visual effects in movies have reached peak saturation over the past couple of decades. Seemingly every other “exterior” scene is shot against a digital background nowadays, and most action sequences look more like flashy video game cutscenes than genuine cinematic moments.
Amid the deluge of CGI sadness, however, there are still filmmakers and stunt people committed to filming action in the purest way, capturing stunts in-camera, on location, and with trained professionals. As much as visual effects have advanced over the years, there’s still nothing better than the real thing, and the movies on this list prove that the art of in-camera stunts is as potent and powerful as ever.
Tom Cruise Hangs on Side of Plane — Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation
A case can be made that Tom Cruise hanging off the side of an A400 Atlas military plane as it takes off is the most iconic modern movie stunt there is.

James Bond has remained a fan-favorite franchise through the decades, surviving not only the Cold War era by preying on the ideas of Russian espionage and imminent nuclear war but also adapting to the modern world by reflecting the ways of the 21st-century spycraft through Daniel Craig’s 007. However, the IP always seemed to get one thing wrong regarding its ambitious plots – the necessity of finding relevance in the story.
Pierce Brosnan as James Bond in Tomorrow Never Dies [Credit: Universal Pictures/Eon Productions]Despite the overarching missions and over-the-top villains, the spy franchise never failed to keep the audience thoroughly entertained throughout its runtime. But without a change in trajectory, Bond would have fallen victim to the age-old disease of mass disinterest incurred due to the repetition of a formulaic plot.
One writer, however, had an idea for a script that could have introduced a Bond film unlike any ever done before.

Keepsakes are important tools to help Melino through the various regions of the Underworld and Surface in Hades 2. Each Keepsake provides a unique and powerful buff that lasts for as long as you have the Keepsake equipped (with a couple of exceptions). They also represent your relationships with the gods and mythical beings you encounter.
When you give an Npc like Icarus, Nemesis, or Posideon their first Nectar, they'll give you a Keepsake in return, themed after their powers and personality. Keepsakes behave just as they did in Hades, and just like Hades, some Keepsakes are naturally stronger than others. If you're unsure who to give your first Nectar to, give it to characters with the best Keepsakes.
In the Early Access version of Hades 2, all Keepsakes appear as brass rings. The final designs and abilities of each Keepsake may change after full release.

Natalia Almada’s Users begins with the Mexican-American filmmaker, through voiceover, detailing how people in the past were mired in the everyday minutiae of child rearing without the help of modern technology. She then goes on to descry the electric cradle that used to rock one of her children to sleep. This cradle more effectively rocks and soothes a baby than a person ever could, in the process supplanting parental attachment and responsibility.
The observation encapsulates a concern that’s haunted Almada throughout her motherhood: the rapid proliferation of advanced technology and its relationship to humans, specifically her own children as they grow up. Following the opening, which sets the stage for the rest of Users, Almada launches into a boldly visceral articulation of this notion without ever feeling academic. The following contains spoilers for Succession Season 4, Episode 10, "With Open Eyes," now streaming on Max. The following also contains mention of suicide.
The Succession series finale promised shocking twists and turns. While it seemed like the Roy siblings would team up and ensure Matsson's purchase of Waystar Royco wouldn't go through, Shiv scuppered the deal.
It robbed Kendall of the chance to become Logan's (played by Brian Cox) successor. It is, as some would say, karma for Kendall's narcissism and manipulation. However, given Kendall's past and what the creative team has revealed in the wake of the finale, there could be a fate much worse that fans won't see.

Spoiler Alert: There are Major Spoilers in this story for the series finale of Succession
As noted by The Hollywood Reporter, Succession creator Jesse Armstrong and series stars Jeremy Strong and Alexander Skarsgård reflected on the series finale's choice for CEO following the show's final episode.
Despite the siblings initially seeming to present a united front to back Kendall as CEO, Shiv backed out at the last minute, becoming the deciding vote that de Lukas Matsson to take over the company. Ultimately it is Tom, Shiv's estranged husband, who Matsson chose as the U.S. CEO.
On the official Succession podcast, Skarsgård said, "Tom so desperately wants this position. [Lukas] knows that he can really lean into that awkwardness and explore and have fun with it, and it's important for him to have a sycophant in that position; someone who will be his little lap dog and do exactly what he needs.

[This story contains major spoilers for the Succession series finale, “With Open Eyes.”]
Succession finally crowned Logan Roy’s successor with a breathtaking blindside in its series finale.
The Roy trio of Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Shiv (Sarah Snook) and Roman (Kieran Culkin) were seemingly a united front when they showed up to the board meeting that would determine whether their late father’s company, Waystar Royco, would sell to GoJo tech billionaire Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgård). Prior to the meeting, the siblings decided they would back Kendall as CEO and keep the company in a 7-6 vote. But the series delivered an ending of tragic reverberations as Shiv breaks with her brothers to back her estranged husband, Tom (Matthew Macfadyen), who in his second moment of major betrayal in the series was plucked as the U.S. CEO by Matsson over Shiv. Shaggy and Velma's iconic catchphrases from the Scooby-Doo! franchise secretly have another meaning that fans never knew about. For decades, the Mystery Inc. gang have had their own unique phrases to help them stand apart from their friends whenever certain situations would arise. Whenever Scooby-Doo would find himself in danger, he's utter out a cowardly "Ruh-ro." Daphne would shout, "Jeepers" in surprise whenever something shocking would occur. Even Fred has finally gotten his own saying where he tells the gang to "Hold the Phone." However, Shaggy and Velma's catchphrases, "Zoinks" and "Jinkies," have stood out as some of the most iconic catchphrases ever. What fans didn't know though is that they have a secret rooted in the Shazam universe.
In Scooby-Doo: Team-Up #16 by Sholly Fisch and Dario Brizuela, the gang find themselves on a mission to discover where the Shazam Family has disappeared to after learning that they're missing.

However, the India U-17 head coach was quick to steer his boys away from any possible Icarus paradox.
“The results in the last few matches have been quite promising, but we are also aware of the complacency...

With the exit of long-tenured film executive Lisa Nishimura on Thursday, Netflix has officially entered its austerity age — whatever that may mean for the streaming powerhouse.
Nishimura’s 15 years at the company have spanned the streaming boom, Oscar wins and multiple restructuring efforts. Noted one industry veteran that has long worked with Nishimura, “It’s a signal that the most thoughtful, taste-driven era is being driven out.”
Under film head Scott Stuber, the film division was long bifurcated according to budgets: tentpoles and indies, with the former sitting around the $30 million to $40 million and way upwards, and the latter sitting below that. Former exec Tendo Nagenda, who joined the streamer from the four-quadrant heavy hitter Disney, oversaw films like the Russo brothers’ The Gray Man and the Extraction films, as well as the Knives Out franchise and The Old Guard. Nishimura’s team oversaw, well, most everything else.

This piece contains spoilers for the "Succession" season 4 premiere.
When we last saw the main trio of Roy siblings in "Succession," they were basically left to their own devices. Made outcasts by their father Logan (Brian Cox) after finally standing up to his abuses, the dream team of Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Shiv (Sarah Snook), and Roman (Kieran Culkin) no longer had the Waystar Royco safety net they had become so accustomed to. However, to them, that isn't necessarily a bad thing. In fact, even though it stung hard, it gave them likely their first real taste of independence.
So, what have they decided to do with that independence in the show's fourth season premiere? They've decided to band together and start a new media company called The Hundred. Its plot significance is likely no surprise to fans of the show — ever since they've been kicked from their father's illustrious news organization,...

Brian Eno has released his new instrumental track, “Who Are We,” the second single from his upcoming album, Forever Voiceless, due out on Record Store Day.
Forever Voiceless serves as a companion piece to last year’s Foreverandevernomore, Eno’s first album to feature his vocals on the majority of songs since 2005. In turn, “Who Are We” is the instrumental counterpart to “Icarus or Blériot.”
The droning synths and dramatic strings create tension throughout the song, lending it a retrofuturistic feel that would slot nicely into a soundtrack for a sci-fi horror video game or movie. This gives more context to the original track, which was named after the Greek mythological figure Icarus and French aviator Louis Blériot, who made the first successful flight across the English Channel in 1909.
