In a droll season of self-important crime thrillers and soporific family fiestas Dupahiya, now streaming on Amazon, is a blessing. And not even in disguise. There is not a single moment of artifice in the entire length and breadth of the series. It is normal to skip portions of lengthy serials; time, after all, is valuable. If you miss any chunk of this peachy fable of a bride, a wedding, and missing mo’bike, you will do so at your own risk.

Firstly, my compliments to the chef and the writers Avinash Dwivedi, Chirag Garg, Salona Bains Joshi, and Shubh Shivdasani for a screenplay that simply rocks. Leveraging the occasion, he collaborated with Nawazuddin Siddiqui, famed for “Gangs of Wasseypur”, for a reel on his latest music video featuring Hina Khan, “Halki Halki Si”.

In the amusing reel, Faruqui regales viewers with Shayari from his latest song, earning praise from Siddiqui, who playfully suggests they have tea together. A viral image captured the poignant embrace between Faruqui and Aamir Khan, further fueling public interest.

The second song titled ‘Sajni’ from the upcoming film ‘Laapataa Ladies’ was released on Monday. The song is a love track and seems to come at an important juncture in the film when Sparsh Srivastav’s misses his bride.

The song has been crooned by Arijit Singh, with the music has been composed by Ram Sampath while Divyanidhi Sharma penned the lyrics. The song gives an insight into the romance and love in the comedy-drama.

The film has been directed by Kiran Rao, and stars Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastav and Ravi Kishan.
