The “God of War” TV series adaptation at Amazon has found its new showrunner.

Variety has confirmed that Ronald D. Moore has boarded the show as writer, showrunner, and executive producer. Moore joins the series shortly after it was reported that original showrunner Rafe Judkins had exited.

Judkins left “God of War” along with executive producers Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus. They had reportedly completed multiple scripts for the series but Amazon and fellow studio Sony Pictures Television decided to go in a different creative direction.

Moore recently returned to the Sony Pictures Television fold with a new overall deal after having departed the independent studio for a deal with Disney and 20th Television. He had previously been with Sony for roughly a decade, during which time he produced hit shows like “Outlander” and “For All Mankind.” An “Outlander” prequel series and a “For All Mankind” spinoff are currently in the works.

God of War Ragnarök might be the biggest game of the franchise. Released in 2022, this title is available for PlayStation 4 and 5 and on PC. Loosely based on Norse mythology, the game is set in its typical storyline of ancient Scandinavia, featuring Kratos and his teenage son Atreus.

The official website of Kingdom live-action film announced on April 11, 2024, that Japanese actor Masao Kusakari has been cast to play the role of King of Qin, who was once called the God of War.

Not to be outdone yesterday by Nintendo, Sony revealed the latest trailer for God of War Ragnarok during its State of Play showcase. In addition, Sony also revealed a limited edition God of War Ragnarok DualSense wireless controller.

UFC fans are going to pay more to catch the promoter’s premiere fights on Disney’s ESPN Plus streaming sports package next year.

As of Jan. 8, 2021, the price of UFC pay-per-view events on ESPN Plus — the exclusive home of the mixed martial arts fights in the U.S. — will increase by $5 apiece, from $64.99 to $69.99. In addition, the price of an annual ESPN Plus subscription for new subscribers will go up 20%, rising from $49.99 to $59.99 per year. According to ESPN, renewals of annual subscriptions for existing subscribers will remain at $49.99 until at least March 2, 2021.

It’s the second time ESPN Plus has raised the price of UFC PPVs: When the service first launched in April 2018, the UFC PPV events cost $59.99. That went up to $64.99 each at the beginning of 2020.
