The new regime of WWE, led by Nick Khan and Triple H under the Tko banner, has touched unprecedented heights of success. One of the masterstrokes pulled by the company was the acquisition of the Lucha Libre promotion Aaa. The deal was announced during the WrestleMania 41 festivities and gained major praise from fans.

Since then, the two promotions have produced some events in collaboration, and the fans have seen crossovers between the two brands. They will see it once again, as the Aaa promotion announced via their Instagram that the main roster, Natalya, and Nxt star Lola Vice will be competing at their upcoming event.

Real Identity of El Grande Americano: What Happened to Chad Gable Before Ludwig Kaiser Replaced Him?
Image
There are striking changes in the persona of El Grande Americano. He’s taller, less athletic, and more intimidating physically. While mystery still remains around the real identity of the character, these evident changes are widely speculated because of the injury Chad Gable sustained a few weeks ago.

Even though Chad Gable has denied any involvement with the character of El Grande Americano, the similarities between them were obvious. As the WWE universe once pointed out, the shoes of Luchadore, with the initials ‘CG’ on them, Chad Gable justified them as a friendly exchange rather than impersonation.

As wrestling enthusiasts miss the old El Grande Americano, uncertainty looms over Chad Gable, with no return in sight for the American-made protagonist.

Gunther’s Former Accomplice Last Seen at WrestleMania 41 Finally Returns to WWE

There is good news for Gunther fans. And it’s not related to his upcoming high-stakes clash against Goldberg at the Saturday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta, Georgia.

Exciting news for Gunther enthusiasts in the WWE arrived when Ludwig Kaiser, a former ally of the World Heavyweight Champion, made a surprise return to WWE, just when the Ring General needed his support the most. The two WWE superstars share a close bond, and unlike most WWE superstars, Kaiser is amongst the inner circle of Gunther, someone reliable for him.

Why WWE Doesn’t Allow Wrestlers to Use Their Real Name: Explained
Image
WWE has been the landscape for producing some of the biggest and most captivating personalities in wrestling history. These larger-than-life personas come into existence through the hard work of the superstar portraying the gimmick, as well as the efforts of many backstage personnel who put their creative minds and efforts into presenting those characters to the fans.

One interesting trait of the character presentation is WWE assigning them ring names to separate their onscreen identities from their real-life identities. This has been the case with the majority of the stars for a long time, with the Stamford-based promotion having good reason for the same.

Why does WWE give ring names to its talent and not let them use their real identities? Triple H is leading WWE as the Cco/ Credits: WWE

WWE Draft 2025: 5 Raw Stars Who Should Leave the Brand For SmackDown
Image
In WWE, superstars often jump between Nxt, SmackDown, and Raw for different reasons. Sometimes, they switch brands to get a better spotlight; sometimes, it’s all about the storyline, starting a new feud, or adding some firepower to a brand.

Transfers usually happen during set windows, kind of like in other sports, but occasionally, they can go down outside of those periods, too. Championship belts move with wrestlers when they switch brands, which keeps things unpredictable. Transfer windows are always exciting for fans, it’s a chance to see unexpected rivalries and fresh matchups while giving wrestlers new opportunities to level up their careers.

What Happened in the 2025 Transfer Window? The Miz flexing his WWE championship title | Credits-wwe

The 2025 transfer window shook things up in the promotion, with plenty of big-name superstars switching brands. Damian Priest, Braun Strowman, The Miz, and Wyatt Sicks all moved from Raw to SmackDown, while Logan Paul,...

Talented WWE Prospect Who Disappeared Quickly Under Triple H’s Regime
Image
Where the hell is Ludwig Kaiser? As a die-hard fan, it drives me insane not to see this Imperium stud taking names on Raw. The German grappler with a great in-ring style and heel persona has been absent for far too long. We all wonder why.

Bad creative? Some gossip backstage? Let’s talk about what happened with Kaiser, look back at his impressive run thus far in WWE, and pitch some storylines! Can we get his girlfriend, Tiffany Stratton, and Charlotte Flair in the mix for some potential drama?

What is happening with Ludwig Kaiser in the WWE

It’s too quiet without Ludwig Kaiser being featured in the WWE! The last time he had a real moment was during WWE Raw about 2 weeks ago, when he was being interviewed by Jackie Redmond, where Bron Breakker and Jey Uso’s brawl seemed more important to record, which completely ruined his moment.

10 Best WWE Matches of 2024
Image
2024 was a gift to wrestling fans for many members of the WWE Universe. It was effectively the year in which the company and its product worked its way back into the mainstream, thanks in large part to a monumental Netflix deal and the return of Hollywood superstar, The Rock. The year offered some incredible moments for WWE spectators, but it also offered some incredible matches.

The year of 2024 gave audiences too many matches to choose from in the Match of the Year department, many of which just barely missed the cut. Liv Morgan vs. Iyo Sky, WarGames, Nxt's Iron Survivor, Friday Night SmackDown's Triple Threat Ladder Match, Ludwig Kaiser vs. Sheamus vs. Bron Breakker, and Randy Orton's match with Gunther in Berlin are all examples of honorable mentions. However, the matches that did happen to leave an imprint in the minds of the WWE Universe are ones that are truly must-see.

Gunther vs Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship will happen at Survivor Series 2024, with Gunther spending the night worried about Priest who defeated his compatriot, Ludwig Kaiser. Dakota Kai returned to Damage Ctrl who then won a trios match against Pure Fusion Collective, and Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill successfully defended their tag team championships against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez in a match that saw many SmackDown women invading. Bron Breakker and Sheamus had a verbal exchange that has led to an Intercontinental title match on next week's Raw.

Seth Rollins was the focal point of the evening, brawling with Bronson Reed and delivering a world-class promo to turn down Sami Zayn's offer of a truce with Roman Reigns. Later,...

‘WWE Smackdown’ Review (Nov 1st 2024)
Image
Welcome to this review of this past Friday’s episode of Smackdown, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on this week’s show…

Match #1: Liv Morgan def. Tiffany Stratton The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Despite Nia Jax distracting the official on the ring apron and kicking the Money in the Bank briefcase to Tiffany Stratton to use against Liv Morgan, the Women’s World Champion avoided the hit and rolled up her opponent for the three-count while grabbing the tights. When Morgan attempted to use the briefcase on Jax after the bell, though, the WWE Women’s Champion took it away from her and used it on Liv, Raquel Rodregez and “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio before crushing her WWE Crown Jewel opponent with the Annihilator.

My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: The Street Profits def. Pretty Deadly The following is courtesy of wwe.com:...

4 Winners & 2 Losers From Last Night's Monday Night Raw
Image
WWE made its final pit stop on the road to Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia this weekend with a SmackDown show that was pre-taped after last Friday's episode. Jey Uso and the original Bloodline took center stage, raising their ones to the sky in unison as Roman Reigns and Jey Uso had a very frank conversation. Jey is his own man in 2024 and respect must be paid as Roman and The Usos will face The Bloodline at this weekend's Ple.

Elsewhere, The Street Profits defeated Pretty Deadly after they'd finished flirting with Hamilton creator Lin-Maunel Miranda, Iyo Sky won an action-packed Fatal Four Way, Liv Morgan pinned a particularly feisty and threatening Tiffany Stratton, and Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton defeated Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser in the night's Main Event, before Kevin Owens spoiled the night's celebrations.

Match #1: Sheamus def. Ludwig Kaiser The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Slugging it out in a renewed rivalry with Ludwig Kaiser, Sheamus reigned supreme with the Brogue Kick.

My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Ivy Nile def. Zelina Vega The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Julius and Brutus Creed interfered in Ivy Nile’s showdown against Zelina Vega and sparked a ringside brawl against Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro. As they took down The Lwo, Nile seized the moment and drove Vega into the canvas to bring the win to American Made.

My Score: 1.5 out of 5 Match #3: The War Raiders def. Rey Mysterio & Dragon Lee, and The New Day The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Welcome to this review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: Sami Zayn def. Ludwig Kaiser The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Looking to receive a title match against World Heavyweight Champion Gunther, Sami Zayn took on The Ring General’s right-hand man Ludwig Kaiser. Kaiser used the ringside area to his advantage by knocking Zayn off to the top of the barricade into the timekeeper’s area and by dropkicking Zayn directly into the ring steps. Despite the repeated abuse from Kaiser, Zayn hit the Helluva Kick to gain the impressive win. After the match, Gunther once again refused to defend the World Heavyweight Title against Zayn.

My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: Dragon Lee def. Carlito The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Rey Mysterio, Walter Hahn, CM Punk, Gionna Daddio, and Demi Bennett in WWE Monday Night RAW (1993)
9 Winners & 2 Losers From Last Night's Monday Night Raw
Rey Mysterio, Walter Hahn, CM Punk, Gionna Daddio, and Demi Bennett in WWE Monday Night RAW (1993)
This week's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw was headlined by one of the most feelgood moments of the year. Jey Uso defeated Bron Breakker to win the Intercontinental Championship in the night's Main Event to win his first singles title. Sami Zayn beat Ludwig Kaiser but was still denied a shot at Gunther's World Heavyweight Championship by the champion himself, and Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan's match at Bad Blood will now feature Dominik Mysterio suspended above the ring in a shark cage because wrestling is amazing.

Damage Ctrl continued their winning run with a victory over The Unholy Union and continued putting the heat on Women's Tag Team Champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair. Friction continued to eat away at The New Day as Xavier Woods snapped at Rey Mysterio and the Lwo, Drew McIntyre had some violent words for Cm Punk and, stealing the show, Bronson Reed...

‘WWE Raw’ Review (Sept 2nd 2024)

Welcome to this review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: American Made def. Alpha Academy The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Ivy Nile and The Creed Brothers of American Made took on Maxxine Dupri, Otis and Akira Tozawa of Alpha Academy in a highly personal Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match. Alpha Academy looked strong in the early goings, as Maxxine Dupri soared through the air to take out American Made at ringside. Otis hit the Caterpillar and a cannonball but it was not enough to put down The Creed Brothers. Brutus Creed took Otis out with the Brutus Bomb as Julius Creed knocked out Tozawa at ringside. This left Dupri and Nile inside the ring to duke it out. Just as Dupri was about to hit the reverse Caterpillar,...

Welcome to this review of this past Friday’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: United States Championship – LA Knight def. Ludwig Kaiser The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Germany’s own Ludwig Kaiser answered LA Knight’s Open Challenge for the United States Championship and gave The Megastar all he could handle. The raucous Berlin crowd was firmly behind the Hamburg native, leaving Knight in unfamiliar hostile territory. The champion weathered the early emotional storm, even enduring Kaiser’s brutal signature running dropkick into the steps on the outside. Kaiser’s quest to turn the United States Title into the European Title ended with a thunderous Bft that delivered Knight the victory.

My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Los Garza def. Baron Corbin & Apollo Crews The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Match #1: Sheamus def. Pete Dunne The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

When Pete Dunne trapped Sheamus’ injured hand inside the turnbuckle in order to further the injury, The Celtic Warrior ripped the turnbuckle off the rope and leveled his one-time friend with an earth-shattering Brogue Kick for the three-count.

My Score: 3.5 out of 5 Match #2: Maxxine Dupri vs. Ivy Nile (No-Contest) The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Sister Abigail interrupted Maxxine Dupri’s match against Ivy Nile. Seconds later, the rest of The Wyatt Sicks joined her and obliterated all four members of American Made.

Welcome to this review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly. Let’s see what went down on this week’s show!

Match #1: Sheamus def. Ludwig Kaiser The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Making his return after a month on the shelf, Ludwig Kaiser wasted no time attacking The Celtic Warrior, engaging in a fight before the bell rang. Kaiser used his cunning tactics to take down Sheamus, feigning injury to sucker him into an attack. Kaiser even tried using 10 Beats of the Bodhran, but Sheamus was able to turn it around. Just as Sheamus looked to put Kaiser away, Pete Dunne emerged to try and ambush The Celtic Warrior with a Shillelagh, but his attempt backfired. Despite Dunne’s interference, Sheamus hit a Brogue Kick to win the match.

Sheamus attacked Ludwig Kaiser to cause a premature end to Kaiser’s match against Bron Breakker. As The Celtic Warrior lifted Kaiser to hurl him onto the announce table, an irate Breakker blasted him off his feet with a Spear.

Match #1: Braun Strowman def. Chad Gable The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

In a battle of David vs. Goliath, Chad Gable had the tough task of trying to take down Braun Strowman. Gable once again belittled his Alpha Academy members who were ringside, as he tried to clip the wings of Strowman. Gable had a good fight, but the might of Strowman was too much, as he hit a huge tilt-a-whirl powerslam to finish Gable.

Ludwig Kaiser entered this match with bad intentions and carried them out during his battle with Sheamus. Despite the continued targeting of his injured knee, The Celtic Warrior persevered until his legs gave out during a White Noise attempt. Kaiser rolled up the former WWE Champion and clinched one of the biggest wins of his career.

My Score: 4 out of 5 Match #2: Finn Bálor def. Dragon Lee The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Welcome to this week’s Nxt review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and the fallout from In Your House is due to the dog running around with its tail up its ass. Maybe the dog is a dip-s–t? I know I am. We’ve got a couple of matches guaranteed here, along with big news from William Regal. Shall we get started?

Match #1: Breezango def. Imperium The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Walter likely won’t be happy with Imperium’s performance, as Breeznago scored a victory out of nowhere thanks to an inside cradle by Tyler Breeze on Fabian Aichner. Aichner & Marcel Barthel had the last laugh though, draping the Imperium flag over their foes following a post-match assault.

The Verdict: 7 out of 10 – This was pretty good for an opener. A lot of this was stuck in picture-in-picture, but that doesn’t affect...

Welcome to this week’s Nxt review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and I’m in 1989 helping Brian Yuzna finish editing the gross f—kin’ movie “Society”. Brian Yuzna: Ending needs more shunting. Tongues become asses nailing taint. (wall explodes) David Cronenberg: I have heard through the weirdo filmmaker grapevine that you have bested me in the filming of sick, nasty footage that has artistic value but should probably be burned because it’s f—king gross. No one gets to do that but me! I shall take this footage and return to my lair of Canadianess where I shall edit these scenes into a picture starring a talking asshole. By: No! My footage! DC: Ah! My footage. Men…blow the building ten seconds after we flee. By: Nooooooooooo!!!!!!!! (building implodes) By: N-n-n-n-Nathan…I’m dying. Me: No. No! By: Get the footage back. Avenge me!

‘WWE Nxt’ Review (Apr 27th 2021)

Welcome to this week’s Nxt review right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Vince McMahon pretending that he is funding an independent promotion and a developmental school at the same time. Nxt…it exists. I enjoy the matches…usually. That being said, Nxt is most certainly a WWE product. It has the WWE house style getting mixed with a diluted version of the Ring Of Honor house style, but without any of the loose (very loose) psychology of either. I don’t despise Nxt, but I definitely don’t see it as so separate from Vince McMahon’s vision for pro wrestling as others do, so I don’t shower it with praise. There’s too many stories in Nxt. There’s too many titles in Nxt. There’s no true focal point, except for when someone like Finn Balor has the strap wrapped around his waist.

Welcome to this debut of Nxt on Tuesday, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and your mother is a f–kin’ aardvark! We’ve got the fallout from the WWE’s last week of wrestling mayhem, so forgive Professor Numbnuts for going f–king crazy! Walalalalalalalalabufffffggglalalalalalala! Vince McMahon is driving me insane! Plus, I saw that picture of him in tennis shoes. Ewwwwwwww!!!!!!! Well, before I fall off my rocker, let’s review this show and all its poet laureate madness! Two roads diverged in a yellow wood and Ireland is ridiculous! My God! Nxt! Hiya!

Welcome to this week’s Nxt review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and I’m Wayne Brady b–ch! We gotta wham that ham! I didn’t watch this Crap…capital Crap. C-c-c stink! I’ve been studying from the Frank Zappa book of reviewing. “Say whatever you watched gave you a boner”. Hey people, this s–t gave me a boner. Nxt…erect and lovin’ it.

Match #1: Dexter Lumis def. Austin Theory The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Austin Theory looked as intense as we’ve ever seen him in Nxt, likely as a result of Dexter Lumis’ hurtful comments about Theory’s “abdominal region” — at least if one believes Johnny Gargano. “All Day” scored several near-falls, though eventually Lumis appeared to be ready to let bygones be bygones, offering Theory a handshake. Theory bought it hook, line and sinker, responding with a hug...
